How much will it cost yo rebuild an Apex?

I found a 07 apex short track that is wrecked and i would like to build a nice mountain sled out of it,maybe put a timbersled tunnel on ,a 16x151x2.5track,light weight front-end on it, and oh yeah- a TURBO or SUPERCHARGER.!!!:D

Can anybody tell me if this is sensible to do this and possibly give me an idea of how much this will cost , and how much it will weigh?
Would a nitro be better? or should a guy just start with a new one? I dont really want to stick 15,000 into it ----I don't make it to the mountains enough for that...

One more thing - it has to be reliable!!!

how much you gettin the apex for?? You can buy a brand new nytro from Oregon Trail Yamaha for 7500 bucks, they also carry boon docker turbo's for around 5000. throw another couple grand into timbersled, and seat and other goodies and you will have one amazing sled.

if you want to build a mod sled it is the best way if you like to do the work it will save you allot of money.to give you a idea of cost tunnels are about 1500$,skids are from 2000-5000$ light front end 850$ super & turbo kits around 5000-7500$it all depends on how extreme you want to go but this gives you a idea.many more things needed to add to that.the best thing to do is make a list of everything you want to do then price it all out it can get expensive or it can be affordable its up to you.you can get a apex down to around 530-540lbs dry

Not sure yet noob, I'm bidding on it now and its only at 900 bucks. It needs a new front end - which i will replace anyways and also the tunnel & track, rails & so on . I never built one from ground up before and I'm not really sure what you all need to do to achieve what I mentioned in org post ,( I'm new)- I just don't want to get in too far over my head.
Thanks ,

you buying this sight unseen then?? If you are, take into consideration the bulkhead and many other things that could be wrong. if it needs a new front end, tunnel track and everything sounds like it took a serious blow. I'm not trying to steer you away from it, just sometimes you don't realize the cost involved in replacing everything might add up to more then getting a machine that hasn't had any damage. Sounds like it might be a fun build, and your gonna have something amazing afterwards. Keep us posted on what happens. I think no matter which way you go your gonna have to put around 15000 plus into it to do what you want. better then putting 30000 into it!!

If u can get that sled for under $1k, that may be ok for some parts, motor. Your best bang for the buck, being new to these type sleds ... buy someone else's project sled and simply tune it for where you ride and save thousands vs. building it. My .2. There are some crazy deals on here right now. :D

Bulkhead is not bent and the motor does run.:) Just not sure of the apex part - I kinda wanted a nytro but thought this might be a fun project and cheeper .I'm proceeding with caution. Thanks
