how much do loggers make

Falling is easy work, I don't know how the one guys old man got so big..must have been carrying that saw up alot of big hills:confused:

he was a one man crew. Road in, brusher, faller, skidder, loader and truck driver. Carried the saw alot and pulled a lot of cable.

I just wish those rascals would try to cut those trees off a little bit closer to the ground!

Bet he had shoulders and a back like a damn line backer. When my old man sawed for a living he had to start buying XL shirts just to fit over his shoulders and the hung way down his legs. And he was only using a 2o inch bar at max.

lol. Nope. Little guy...5'8" tall, 145 lbs dripping wet.

Now, I'm not saying that he wasn't strong, cause he was...he just wasn't huge and you wouldn't look twice at him thinking he was muscle-bound or something. I can tell you I treated his daughter awful well, not wanting any problems with him. ;)

no chit? Maybe my old man was just an exception, course he was splittingfor firewood sales too maybe that did it.

I agree I would not want to start any trouble with a logger...Let alone how physically tought they are, I have to itching to get kicked by someone with steel toes and corks!

They don't make nearly enough for the work it is! My boyfriend and I have a logging company. It's a lot different than on Axemen. But we're in Idaho. The problem here is the damn tree huggers and the forest service. Bunch of idiots in my opinion. I can't say that loggers make anything, as after costs you're lucky to get ahead at all. But it's a tough area here. Too many rich tree huggers.
