How much better is the 16

So I already ordered a 16 but have came across a smoking deal on a basically brand new 15. Both are LTs. So I guess how good of a deal on a 15 trumps how much better a 16 Timbersled kit is. Also I know you can buy a new 2.5 track for the 15. How much are they and is there any part of the 16 that can not be upgraded to on a 15

The track represents the largest change, that being said, There were also a lot of little changes which IMO represent very valuable improvements.

The LT track upgrade is $900 with the drop brackets for a 2015 LT kit.

Basically the whole rear suspension was changed for the '16 kits. the long front arm, new jounce bumpers, and scissor rear arm are all new. Also the new splined upper shaft, lighter gears, and threaded shaft instead of drilled and tapped. Lots of little changes that "could" be upgraded but would not make sense dollar wise. The upgrades of the rear suspension make for way better handling and much more plush ride compared to previous kits are

Im curious what the '15 LT costs, because by the time you throw 900 bones at it, the 16 kit still has all the little upgrades. Point being to me, unless your tight for dollars, I would be hard pressed to get a 15 over the 16, just so many improvements.

The TS 2016 is the best there is right now (albeit a bit heavy). The Yeti makes a good (light) product but lacks the suspension.

Allen & his crew are not resting on the 2016, his R&D is projected way ahead of that, with the deep pockets of Polaris now involved, look out. (As long as Polaris does not hand cuff TSs creative juices)

However u have to live and ride for today (the 2015/16 season) and the improvements of the TS 2016 are most certainly worthy (justifying) of upgrading or a first time purchasing of a unit.

My prediction is u will see an all in one sold as a stand alone unit within the next few years, who that will be I don't know, but I bet u, u could guess?
The biggist question is who's (what) power plant & drive system?
