How many of you bought a brand new Yamaha last year for the mountains? Not used or a hold over.. I honestly doubt many were bought. They need a change!

If they gave a rats *** about the mtn. segment they WOULD stepup. I would love to be back with team blue, but hopes get destroyed year after year, I give up!

Whoever heads their mtn. division needs a swift kick in the nuts!!!!!

Whew, feel better already.

Sweet - maybe my 2012 will be a collectors item someday. I'll tell my wife the purchase was a good investment :)

LOL now that was funny.. Seriously i cant even think of one person that bought one last year. Obvisoly some were sold but how many friends can you say bought a polaris skidoo or arctic cat? HAHA. ya bareley had to think about it. Time to step it up Yamaha!

Original has nothing to do with it. Its still an 08 and I plan on riding it for a few years. Its not like there's anything new out of the box that compares with the Yamaha for power and reliability. The new M1100 is an overweight POS IMO. The 2012 Nytro is a great sled, problem is, the market is flooded with good used ones. I agree with you, the Nytro/Apex is stale in terms of 2013 models. It would be nice to see a sled that is 3" track ready and a low compression motor either boosted or boost ready. If I could buy a Nytro that was boost ready with a 174, I'd be all over it. It would be nice to see it with the steering already relocated with an updated forward subframe/a-arms. I dont think they should rule out the Nytro, just make a Mountain Extreme version....

I bought a 2012 and had the option to buy a hold over. The changes made in 2012 were significant enough to want that over a previous model. Drivers and track especially. I am extremely happy with my purchase thus far as well. Have had a lot of seat time and would not be riding any other brand. The Nytro works very well for what I do. Would be nice to see a new model released

If all I had to do is install an MCX tbo kit, Mountain Mod seat, Racers Edge scissor on a 2013, I'd snowcheck one tomorrow. The days of a 40K+ build are over for me...

Ok.. So we all know they are the most reliable sleds on the snow even boosted if its not a over excessive amount of boost.. So why not from the factory a light weight seat . Light weight rear skid similar to a k mod or timbersled and lighten up the front end a little. Steering relocate would be nice. I would like to see a 16'' wide track for the nytro, and some boost. lets face it the nytro or apex will NEVER be as light as the pro rmk being a four stroke, so if they cant be the lightest bring them out with the most power from factory. 240 hp option stock would be nice along with a upgradeable system. What more do ya want for testing Yamaha?? We have all done that for ya for years and proven the reliability and ride ability boosted!! Im with you duke i will never spend that kind of money again on a sled.

I know of a few that were purchased just because of the boost options. Any left over 12's without boost are probbaly gonna sit for awhile.

It takes Deep Thought, 7½ million years to compute, and check the answer, which turns out to be 42.

i got new one and love it put a impulse system on it..its a blast !

yamaha made big changes in 2010 !! tunnel subframe, shed 20#

ski-doo came out with the xp in 08 same year yamaha came out with the nytro.
ski-doo has a new sled for 2013.
really ski-doo is trying the hardest every 5 years they get a new chassis

how many years did cat have the m8 6-10 years ? minor changes maybe a different hood ?

polaris 96-2011? same basic chassis diff hood's maybe front suspension? still junk under the hood !

JUST PICKED UP MY NEW 2011 NYTRO MPI TURBO. 15K WITH EXTRAS AND A FIVE YEAR WARRANTY. WHAT ELSE CAN YOU BUY WITH A 5 YEAR AND BOOST. FIRST RIDE TOMORROW. CAN'T WAIT.

Sold my 09 s/c and bought a 12 2' of fresh powder today and the sled is unstoppable rode a Polaris for a little while today and wouldn't trade my nytro for anything out there today

It does have a little help from mcx 270 but I would ride it without amazing sled
