how many are turning up your oil injection?

turned my '13 up quite a bit too, only a thread or two showing now, better safe than sorry, will leave it through break-in and til I can measure ratio, plenty of oil for break-in cant be a bad thing. a full quart in the gas tank too. will shoot for 40:1 and a half pint in each tank from there-on after break-in. easy to do with hood removed, from the front with 1/4" ratchet, extension with a 8mm wobbly, took ten minutes.

fill the oil reservoir and mark it, fill the tank to a known height, I go just to the bottom of the neck of the tank, ride it. Re-fill the oil and gas to the previous marks making note of how (ounces of oil, gallons of fuel) much you put in it. find an online fuel/oil ratio calculator or chart and get the ratio.

gas to oil ratio

gallons of gas times 128 divided by ounces of oil

8.0 gals gas times 128 divided by 20 ounces oil = 51:1

The 128 is used to convert gal of gas to ounces (128 oz per gal) that way you are taking ounces of gas to ounces of oil

FWIW:

2010 A/C SnoPro was 40 to 1 stock.

2011 Pro was 50 to one, but I bought it used and the oiler may have been adjusted.

New 2012 Pro was 90 to 1 and I adjusted it to 40 to 1 after break-in.

2013 has no miles but the factory adjustment looked the same as the 2012 before adjusting and I turned it in 4 turns. (Looks to be about the same as the 2012 after adjusting)

I think these two strokes should use some oil! The 4-year warranty is great but it wil suck plenty if the sled goes down during some epic powder days.

Just my .02.

Dealer turned mine up out of the box. I've also been running 1/2 oz of oil pre gallon in the gas along with one gallon of 112 oct race fuel pre tank. Plug turned to non ethanol. Elevation 5,000 to 10,000 feet.

For those of us who add 1 ounce of oil per gallon to the tank:

You need a total of 36.8 ounces or (1.15 quarts) of oil per 11.5 gallons of gas to have a 40:1 ratio.

If you add 1 ounce of oil per gallon of gas to the gas tank, then your oil pump needs to deliver 25.8 ounces (.8 quarts) of oil for every tank of gas (11.5 gallons) used.

So after you ride measure how much it takes to refill your oil tank to the fill line and it will give you an idea how close you are to a 40:1 ratio.
