how many are turning up your oil injection?

hey like the title say's!

just wondering who is turning it up and are you having good result's?

i'm on the fence. i'm going to add oil to every tank but debating turning up the oil pump!

turned mine up and will be monitering usage. I want 32:1 between the oil res and oil added to gas.

I'm a bit slow and keep forgetting to bookmark the thread with a good writeup on how to turn up the pump.... And the search feature is a bit to evolved for me apparentally

Does someone have that thread bookmarked and mind sharing it? I'd like to turn my pump up also
 
i like warranty but when your 300 mile's away from civilization in the labrador north a little oil never hurt anyone! haha i'll turn mine up a few turn's and add some to gas.

i've read all the thread's on this. i just wanted to hear for myself.

cfi-2 engines are semi-direct injection; therefore, no gas touches the crank, only oily air. Adding oil to the gas doesn't help below the pistons. Turning up the oil injection can only help, can hurt. Do it. Unless you are concerned about global warning.

Please inform me if I am wrong.........but I thought that semi direct injection meant exactly that, semi Direct!!! some goes to the crank and some goes into the cylinder.
Please have a look and correct me if I am wrong

Mine was also 70:1..
Its the way to go if you want to wear out the engine before 3-4000miles..
I did bend the rod to I had 35:1.. Its the same as Arctic cat had stock earlier.

injectors does not spray any fuel to the crankcase.only transfer port and cylinder.you can not run the 800 cfi2 engine on premix only.it needs oil injection to lube crank,bearings,rod bearings and piston pin bearings.heard of anyone doing oil injection delete on PRO?would been a nice weight saving tho.

I understand you can not run on premix only, and never intended to state that ( I also turned up my oil pump )

Their are 4 transfer ports ( 2 on each side ) and 1 injection port, that sprays against the outside of the cylinder ( not the piston ). Depending on when the injecters are trigged to open in cycle, is there not a chance that some of the fuel is going into the crankcase and up through the transfer ports ???

otherwise, why would the injection port be open to the crank ????
why not just go direct injection if some of the fuel dosen't go into the crank housing??

Not trying to be a smart ***, just trying to understand how it all works
 
we've had 3 pros now and haven't had a problem with one of them. I am a believer in oil. gas. and go! people read these forums and turn into snowmobile hypochondriacs.. just take care of it and it will take care of you. I think the actual number of people that have problems with their motors is pretty slim. I dont think polaris would keep putting out faulty motors...
 
The transfer ports are open to the crankcase so when the piston comes down it pushes the air from the case reed air intake up the transfer ports to the top of the pistons. While doing so it also pushes the fuel that the injector sprayed into the transfer port to the top of the piston. So there may be minimal fuel that gets down into the crankcase but very little so adding oil to the fuel will not likely benefit the crank but should give the pistons and cylinders a little extra lube when it comes out of the transfer port on the top. So throttle body injection injects into the throttle body and comes in the crank with the air, semi direct injection is straight into the transfer port and the fuel gets mixed with the air on the way up the port and direct injection is directly on top of the piston mixing with the air right before TDC.
