How is the riding near Lander WY

I am look at a potential move near Lander WY. I was wondering if anyone would know how much of the mountain range next to lander was welcome to snowmobiles (i.e. not wilderness). And how good the snow is in general. I think it is the Wind Rivers mountain range.

Thanks,

There is some riding close to Lander leaving out of sinks Canyon as well as on South Pass. I would not say the riding is Excetioanal, but it is close. The best bet for good riding it to head 1.5 hours northwest and hit the Togwotee Mtn area. This map covers both areas: http://wyotrails.state.wy.us/pdf/continentaldivide.pdf Technically it is all part of the same trail system!

Lander

Im from Lander,
There can be some real good riding if we get a snow early and start a good base. My favorite place to ride here is leaving from south pass and heading out to bluchure creek and the desert, there is a lot of big hills out there. Lander also gets a lot of big spring storms, its real nice because you can be riding in good powder within ten minutes of town. I mostly ride tog though better snow and a lot more country!
