i have been working on my sled constantly for a while now.. everything imagineable has been pulled off and redone (exaggeration). i jsut got back from my friends house and he has a brand new pro.. i was amazed at how well it all fits together, how the panel clips actually work, hood fitment is awesome with the panels...

is somethin on my screwed up or is it common.. my panels are a pain to close.. it seems when i push the pins the plastic moves in and away, basically its a pain in the *** to pin the side panels... i can get it but its not anything near smooth

how is everyone elses

x2 on the side panels. Mine suck. Probably one of my biggest gripes about the sled. I hate those quarter turn things with a passion. Oh well, sled works great otherwise.

i havent messed with mine yet...but i know BC sled is a brand new also 163 orange and he cant get his clutch side to match back up......and its brand new...lol sounds like hit or miss with the plastic

i cant beleive the aftermarket hasnt hit up a solution for this yet... sounds like an easyway to make some money.. i think those old hood latch rubber pull deals would work great.. anyone used them

Two Pros
2500 miles on mine
1500 miles on GF

All panels have been removed countless times, hoods removed often also. Both sleds have been rolled too many times to mention. Trees weren't immune to our abuse either.

Mine actually rolled down a hill and smacked a tree, destroyed the bumper and dented the pipe. Installed a new bumper, straightened th belly pan with a heat gun, panels still line up great, 1/4 turn fasteners still work flawlessly.

I've been using 1/4 turn Dzus fasteners for over twenty years on roadrace motorcycles ( and a some Yamaha sleds) I like them a lot. You just need to pay attention to the backside of the clip so that fasteners engage the clip when you push and twist. You can adjust the back of the clip with your finger or screwdriver.

I've been really impressed with the build quality of the sleds. They are holding up great. They have been ridden and are NOT trailer queens.

1600 miles boosted and pistons look great. Panels line up to fasten with no issue. The carbon fiber/ alum side bumper sucks azz. Put a skins bumper on to fix that.

i found after a couple of tree hugs if you adjust the bottom panels the side panels slide into they will again fit much better. also if you tweak the front bumper you have to tweak it back or buy a new one...

Mine have worked great Danny. Maybe some other issues are causing misalignment problems with yours??

either that one or the snowmobile landing on top of it....
or the time it rolled downhill into those trees...
or that time i smashed that big rock...
or the time i mowed into that fencepost under the snow..

just about everything has been replaced. i looked at everything inside structurally and it looks straight no breaks or bends except my front bumper

2012 Pro, my panels seem fine, but lining those 2 bolts in the hood up are a complete joke.:face-icon-small-dis

A Better ?? How many Guy Strip Out the Threads on the TWO Hood Bolts???

I haven't had a issue Yet.. But wished there was more Alum there.. so if we needed to go to the Next Bolt Size we could!.. O well it's LIGHT.. and Holding up.. so its good in my book!

If you Take your time.. Be rough with it tell the sled who Boss.. You will win every time..

IMO... I would Rather have a Hood Fit tight .. Then Be able to shift around..

Ya.. Bolts are a little tricky.. But that the Tension on the hood...

Make sure you get your wings tucked in the end of the hood too.. Kinda hold the console in..

Yep, it's very easy to strip the threads out on these. I ran a tap down the holes (M6?) and they work much better now. Another option would be to thread in some studs and use nylock nuts to hold the hood down.
