How excited do you get the night/day before sledding?

i usually sleep half decent the night before, as long as my sled aint broke, then i dont sleep till its done.

scratch that, i can only sleep good if i can make my self fall asleep, i will sit and look at the weather, snotels and snowest until the sun comes up!!

but as far as being stoked goes, thats all i think about between rides, is the next ride. every symptom i exhibit is identical if not worse then ones for drug addicts.

Come to think about it, I'm as soked about the snow and the ride as I was when I where 10 yrs old.....:p and that's 20 yrs ago:o

I always sleep like a baby. By the time we reach the pad in the mountains it's usually about 1 in the morning. Sleep five or six hours and get up to ride for the weekend. But at least the drive is only two hours.

Well momma gets beat up pretty bad in a good way. On the sled trips its difficult and frustrating cuz shes not there to take day before frustrations out on............LOL

I usually dont sleep.....if we are going on a trip we leave at the night, make it to our destination in the morning and go sledding then after that slip into a small coma for 12-14 hours and do it all again....

interesting.... i wake up whenever i feel like, about 11:30, 12:00. get my gear on slowly..wait for my parents..eat breakfast.. walk out my door fire up the sleds..and ride from my drive way and hit fresh powder all day untill i run out of gas and then ride home and park the sled under the garage and eat dinner then go to sleep.

:)

now thats the life right there. :) where do i sign?

WOW! When you guys do this, do you ride just for a day then come back on Sunday or what?

No its usually a 5 days to a week....rarely shorter.

Some of arent blessed with elevation and altitude. Consider yourself lucky. I wish I could do the same.

On the plus side I am only a half day away from rideable mountain ranges....That always makes me feel better.

Usually about 2:00 am I'll wake up remembering something I've forgotten to do on the sleds from last trip. Then I'll lay there thinking about it until I fall asleep....usually about 1/2 hour before I'm supposed to get up. Don't get too jacked until I wake up, check the ski hill website and find out they got 16" of fresh overnight. It's mid week, and we'll be cutting freshies all day long. Bring on the Snow!!! :beer;

I get stressed out because usually it involves a lot of prep but as time gets closer and closer to the destination or actually getting on board it's time to forget about everything and enjoy.

I get excited...then I think about the stupid ****ers that I ride with and how much they get stuck and how tired and sore I will be the next night after digging them out all day. That makes me sad which helps me cry myself to sleep. Then I get a good night's rest.

That's good stuff...LOL
No problems sleeping the night before but the time and distance between each deep bottomless powder day is the most painful experience ever....it feels worse than waterboading.
I love the time we spend together in the mountains, its the best addiction that needs no cure!
