I had my MCX box reprogramed, and a few other changes. Now I am way rich. Trying to fiqure out again how to set Yamaha computer to lean out bottom end.

"Apex
1) Install a wire (or paperclip) in the pale green wire in the connector
on
the left of the delta box
This wire has no mating wire in the male connector and only needs to be
grounded
2) Enter Diagnostic mode:
-Key and kill sw off, press and hold both "Select and Reset" and then
power
up the gauge (key and kill on)
*I leave the key on and just use the Kill Switch
-Wait 8 seconds and the gauge will go blank except for "DI" in the
display
-Press select to toggle between "DI" and "C0", Select "C0"
*If there is no selection, recheck your ground
-Press and hold both "Select and Reset" 3 seconds
-Gauge will display "C:01", (this is where you select which cylinder you
want to adjust)
-Press and hold "Select and reset" 3 seconds and a number will appear in
the odometer section, (will be 0)
-Press "Select" to increase the number (richer), "Reset" to decrease the
number (leaner)
*adjust it to read 10 for richer, -10 will be leaner
-Press both "Select and reset" and chose C:02 and adjust the same as
above,
you must do this for each cylinder

This will change your low speed fuel mixture much like the pilot circuit
on
a carb model, there is little or no effect on high speed
The engine will start and run normally in C0 mode so you can change
settings with the engine running or on the trail
To reset simply turn off the key or kill switch and the gauge will return
to normal"

Found this on a old post........

Thanks for the good explanation. I had the di up but forgot the select. Sled has been in shop since haydays so forgot.

Playing with this setting works great. With my non-boosted Apex and modded air box and exhuast I had a lean bog. Dialed the fuel up to +15 and it ran great. Also works good to dial it back down in the spring for the 50* days. Eric

Can someone explain where this connector is located, besides on the "left of the delta box"? A picture would be great too if someone has one. Thanks

Also, is this the same as on the Nytro's, i can't toggle between diag and Co. And is the paperclip\wire a short cut to disconnecting the fuel pump coupler?

t

this is the same procedure as the nytro except you must ground out the white connector in the nose of the sled just behind your tool kit, single wire plug. unplug it and ground the female side of it then follow those instructions listed except leave your kill switch on or at least i did dont know if you have to.

Sled was in shop for replacing pipes with rx1 and ceramic coating, had leak down test done and had a leaky valve so replaced all, Mcx computer box was set wrong. May of been my problem the lasdt 3 winters. Spent another 9 grand so far on it this winter, Only got to ride about 5 miles so far. That is one way to prevent from spending so much on repairs. Don't ride. I think it will finally run good. Bought a new ennovate a/f but cann't get it working properly. Maybe my power source.
