How do you like your rev?

I ride a 144" 06 rev adrenaline
This is my also first year of sledding

I love it, powers there, can sidehill pretty easy, and downhill turns aren't bad either!

Which is awesome for me, I'm only 5'6 ish and 150-160 pounds max with gear on

I ride an 04 800 154 REV, absolutley love it! I've ridden XP's and wasn't impressed, probably just needed more seat time. Buy the REV, you will love it.

I love my 07 X 151. Climbs well and is very nimble. I have ridden my buddys XP and it feels more like a trail sled. Only sled that sidehills better than a Rev is an M in my opinion.

Love my REV. Best sled I have ever owned!! No problems laying it over and I even have the wide a-arms (freeride style) on mine. :face-icon-small-coo

What he said but I'd add the Pro RMK to the sleds that sidehill better (but certainly not that much better and the Rev is a GREAT buy these days!).

Have FUN!

The XP is a better deal and will need little changing, you get a lighter sled right from the start.I personally dont like the ergo,s of the XP trail chassis. The Rev will need quite a few aftermarket parts to get it to the same weight as the XP however when you do these Mods it flat Rocks, Performance and Ergonomically. Its simply a better balanced sled and with the 37 inch front end its Very nimble yet never tippy. Will sidehill and carve like butter with precision. If you want a project sled the 07 is a great choice.06 is a great year as well but a few less ponies.

Add my $.02 in with the all the other...... put another 2" onto your riser block, (I'm 5' - 7" 165lbs.) cut the stabilizer bar out and never look back

My rev 07 163 rides like a caddy. Old school Barittz. Handles like a cts-v.
Rides and handles better than my 08 xp. Fun sled to run..11 nope
Roosterbuilt susp and clutch set up.

I've rode XP's and Mseries, everytime I do I can't wait to get back on my rev. Love the ergos and handling. No sway bar, suspension set up soft/loose limiter, boss seat, 2" angled Oles riser, lefty and dynoport can. DJ clutch about to go in. but honestly, the best mod i did was trimming the plastic in the footwells at the front of the tunnel. I had a couple crashes when i first got it and my ankle nearly broke from being caught in the footwell. I dont have big feet either, size 9.5.

Im looking into geting a ski doo summit rev and wondering how nimble they are. Are they easy to lay over and how do they side hill.:face-icon-small-con

You will likely find a following who know what a Mountain chassis should handle like. The XP is a better trail chassis as the weight over the nose really works on the trail, Many think new is better and have forgotten the perfect Ergo,s of the Rev chassis. Get it light, Mod and it will out perform the new iron.Especially the 07 R motor.even the 06 with BB 840 will fly.It does take some coin to get it right.Simply a better balanced sled.

This past season was my first year on a Rev, after nearly 4 decades mostly on Polaris sleds and a lot of seat time on M-Cats as well.

To me, the Edge & M-Cats have a much more natural and snowmobile feel to them. Jump on either back to back blindfolded and they behave very similarly. The Rev is just very different, not necessarily better or worse, just very very different.

I felt mine trenched a bit too easy and had some issues with nose dive, but didn't get a chance to really spend much time adjusting the suspension and I know I need to rebuild/replace the skid shocks. But compare to the XP Summits, the Rev is a step behind to my liking and hasn't ever given me the instant confidence that the M-Cat and XP do.

If I could sell my Rev for a reasonable price (considering the money & time stuffed into it), I'd probably step up to a 2010 XP this season. Otherwise, with some more $$$ tossed into the skid and some more tuning of setups, I'm sure I can get it to a point I feel confident in what it will do.

Hopefully you can get some seat time on whatever brand/model you hope to buy first, then make a truly educated decision for yourself- that's my best advice.

With the right mix of talent and mods to the sled, easy as anything else out there. Forward mounted steering and proper handlebar height is important to me. From there it's all set-up.

fun to ride but i feel like i have to work hard to do a long controlled side hill or layover turns in the pow. All the doos i have ridden, revs and xps feel very similar in that they want to stand back up when i want them to lay over. but i mostly ride an m8 so i'm spoiled. apples to oranges

Forward mounted post and set-up is all that needs.
