picked up my xp today. does the seat have storage underneath how do you get seat off

It has the manual under the seat and I stuck 50 ft of rope under it also. Push your fingers between the front seat edge and the console. There is a little tab that you push down and it should slide right off towards the rear of the tunnel.

Opps... you have to pull UP on the seat tab to get the seat off.. How did you get 50' of rope under your seat?... you must be kidding..

I carved out some seat foam and mounted my tool kit unerneath the seat also . . so I could get rid of that stupid plastic junk on my belt guard. Stupid place for manual, but good place for tool kit.

Some of us ARE as dumb as we look....

So, I buy my XP last year, never having seen an XP in person, and I had it shipped up to AK, the whole transaction taking place over the phone. I didn't have the usual run-down of the salesman going over every detail of the sled with me, like what would normally happen at the dealership. After a couple of weeks of riding and caressing every inch of my new sled, I finally call my dealer and go- "So, how come you didn't send me an owner's manual with my sled??" and he says- "Didn't you find it under the seat?"

His answer is met with about five seconds of dead air on the phone, while I comprehend what he has told me...

....."You mean the seat comes OFF??!" :o

Yeah, I'm in need of help....;)

What?

"Hey,,, I can't get the seat off"... "Duh,,, Just read the stupid manual" "ok,,,, where is the manual"... "It's under the seat" Doh!!! Funny.... :beer;

I really do have 50' of 1/4 heavy duty nylon rope under my seat. I bought it from Lowe's for $10. Great investment and works well. I used once last year to tow out my XP when my driveshaft blew and a second time when I towed out a boosted Nytro that grenaded the chaincase.

I was just giving you crap. Sounds like a good idea. mounted my tool kit on top of the foot well on the right hand side. Need to use it too much to put under the seat.
Under the seat would be a good place to keep my second spare belt. :D
Maybee put some rope under mine also. It does come in nice some times to keep some extra distance between sleds when towing some one out.
