How Do I Gain Weight Without Eating?

Kathy, yes, when you eat less your stomach shrinks. Its an elastic membrane. It expands and contracts with the volume of food you eat.

I have A LOT of experience with this subject due to wrestling and cutting weight groups for 32 years.

Once its shrunk it only takes a couple meals to strech it right back out again and you'll know you've done it when your stomach is growling on 2hrs after a good stuffing. Lol

Get rid of the stress. I went through that when I got divorced. I didn't eat for months, half a cereal bar and energy drinks was my total intake for the day. I lost about 40 lbs and everyone thought I was anorexic. I was just too stressed, I'd throw up anything I ate.
Try anything you can get down that has high fat content, maybe a nutritionist or doctor can help. You could try an anti anxiety med to help deal with the stress maybe. But until you deal with the stress itself, it won't get much better I don't think. I really hope you deal with it soon, and see a doctor. It can wreak havoc on your organs and really mess you up. I've been there.

one of the ex gf's had a major eating issue, she was in treatment 3 times while we dated (just over a year) you need to get a handle on this while you see it as a problem because if you dont and it becomes routine it is much harder to concur. i agree first step is dealing with/removing the stress, in my case, i was one of many things that stressed her and had to no longer date, we remained friends and i am always there for support, so if the stress is caused by someone either seek help in managing it either from friends or a professional, or remove this person from your life, the health issues are very dangerous and if your potassium numbers drop it is easy to feel fine and then slip into a comma or die. good luck

Your post is very scarry to me as my daughter came up with anorexia beginning about 1982 and after 2 hospital stays of 30 days in what was basically the same as drug/alcohol intervention, months of phsyc sessions we pretty much only contolled it. 27 years later the problem still exists and it causes alot of anxiety within the family. I hope you are not into exercising heavily and living on veggies you would sound just like my daughter and I would not wish that on anyone. I would sugest looking to alternative practitioners and nutritional therapy, I did get my daughter to finally try it and she was beginning to do great but as in alcoholisim she slipped and hasn't continued to follow through. Wish you well Swampy

Swampy: Sorry you had to go through that with your daughter. I've never dealt with anorexia, but was bulemic (sp) for a few months due to an injury. It broke my parents' hearts. I quit that cold turkey.

All: Thanks so much for the advice. I haven't read all but will continue to. I just discovered I lost 2 more pounds. I haven't weighed 115 since high school. I won't mention how long ago that was. :-D
