How Cold is -28 in South Dakota?

"A friend of mine emailed this to me today and it is in the county in SD I used to work in before I moved to NE. Taken a couple of miles NE of our farm, it appears that the -28 degrees froze this coyote right in its tracks. Now that's cold."

no it's real but i have been doing this for years. it was road kill and you just stand it up in the snow. see how the tail is up. we have done it with dear and calves that didn't make it. pretty funny ****

I've seen hundreds of mice frozen in their tracks around some old grain bins after a night of -70 wind chill.

Look at the bright side: maybe -28 might keep all them thieves you have in the Sioux Falls area at home for a while. Give some of the honest people a well deserved break.
