How are you suckers doing on the west side? The riding here's great!!!!

Hours of I-5 traffic??? Most of us live close enough to baker to not worry about I-5!!! Plus, Baker Lake Highway is normally just like its name implies, a highway!!! Just a little more low snow than normal, which opens up many new areas!!! I can get to 4000 feet within half an hour ridin from my house. Our snow right now is very comparable to eastside snow, light an fluffy AND DEEP!!!:D:D:D 4 ft+ an snowin HARD!!!

Yeah, but we don't have to sit in I-5 traffic for hours, drive for hours, deal with winding mountain roads and then fight everyone else there too. :)

Ok buddy what ever you say i have an hour drive to a handful of spots, dont ever sit in traffic i live up north, and i usually don't see to many people but whatever helps you sleep at night, stay on the east side, and have fun tearin those trails up.:beer;:beer;:beer;

Come on guys. You really think Baker is really easy to get to?

Unless you live in the park, you must trailer to there no matter what. That was my point.

From East of the Cascades:

70 Miles on I-90, then 12 on 405, 48 miles on I-5 (through the entire north end), 22 miles on Highway 9, and 20 miles on Mt Baker Highway, and finally 8 more miles on a NF road. 4 hours.

From Seattle Metro area:

Take off the first 70 miles. Travel time 3 hours.

Seattle Metro to East side of Cascades 1.5 hours. I-90 the whole way and if you want you can buy property to ride right in without trailering.

thats fine, you can stay eastside an ride with the crouds!!!

i could ride from my house right now an make it to baker,anderson,dare i say...twin sisters...-just might take a little time an gas, but id be ridin untracked roads all the way there!!! an when i get there, im almost ensured fresh pow-pow!!! an thats the most popular area around here, there are probraly 10 different areas i can ride without as much as seein 10 other riders!!!

let me add one more point to finish this one off-12 feet of snow (average amount later in the year) covers most reprod, fills in most holes, and allows riding into june to july...
