How are the pro's holding up

Now that the pro has been out for a couple years and people have had a chance to beat on them, how are they holding up? Have there been many warranty issues. Is the 2012 much better than the 2011?

My 2011 has over 3000 miles and has been beat pretty hard. All I've had to replace from abuse is I bent the bars in a hard roll over. Also broke the stock running boards, but better boards fixed that . Also replaced the stock track due to tearing lugs off.No warrenty issues yet.

Gas and go. This is the first time I've been on a Poo in ten years and am extremely happy. The other brands are good, but the Poo dealer is only five miles away vs. two hundred so thought I would give it a shot. Not disappointed at all. The sled has been flawless. It boondocks like no other sled I've ever had. Can hold a side hill like crazy and gets up on snow and keeps going. Still amazes me. Just when I think this is it, I'm stuck, it just keeps going. But back to the original question. Yes, gas and go. Not one issue. I really love the crisp throttle response. I know people have mentioned the power, but it does everything so well I just don't see an issue. Trust me, I've owned a turbo in the past and this thing for a stock sled puts a grin on my face every time I ride it.

I owned a 2011 Pro and put just under 1400 miles on it, There were climbs that I would hold that puppy wide open for over a minute or more and thought for sure she would go but it keep on pulling all the way to the top. The chassis is the funnest sled I have ever ridden it makes the funnest sport on the planet even funner.

Everyone keeps saying there going to hold out to see how the motor holds up, that's fine with me. I will keep riding the best mountain sled on the market and enjoy every minute of it while peeps keep waiting to see if the motor is reliable. Think of how many Pro's are out there and how many don't have issues. Polaris listened to the riders and made a sled that the mountain rider wants.

I have never complained about power on this sled it does so well with what it has. But it is the one thing I would change about it. I thought about snowchecking a 13 but I want to see if they will release a Pro with more power next year. I don't care if it is direct injected or not but I would love to see them release a sled in the 165 range. I loved my 11 Pro and I really love my 12 Assault with the pow track. This sled is the funnest sled I have owned and I know with Burandt heading the testing it will only get better.

Here's a clip from this past weekend riding with M8Chris and TGitt.

11 Pro, engine down at ~1200 miles.
Warrantied.

And I'm not the only one w/ engine issues...

BUT, love the sled/chassis, and will keep gambling w/ the engine for now.

11 with 2500 miles replaced injectors this is the best sled I have ever riden by far!!!!! Rode all the new 12 last week and nothing will come close to out doing the pol!!!!!!!

We have 2-2011's Only a few minor issues any novice like myself can address.
I just talked to a dealer here that sells a lot of Polaris snowmobiles and asked him about the 2011-2012, 800 motors. His exact words were "we have not had one STOCK motor go down". $.02

Yah there will always be a few, they are mechanical if they were perfect you wouldnt need mechanics.

My 2010 dodge ram is fairly flawless, so far just a ripped boot. A guy i work with has the same truck basically and its got a ton of problems. Just like drawing the short straw and you and him have drawn it.

Two guys i ride with had there clutches break in half and then later in the season one lost his engine at 2200 miles and the other lost his at 1100 They were covered under warranty tho and were 2011's they now each have 2012 pros and love them

Sorry if you cant accept it but they are my close friends There not on this site just saying what happened. Sorry if it offends you in any way. Boy there sure seem to be a big group of people that don't think any thing happens to these sleds. Oh and my friend is here at the shop he said to tell you don't be a hater.

Since 2011 we have had only 2 engines go down and so far this year we haven't had any. I think Polaris got the 800 figured out now and with the new belt drive system it should have the same amount of track hp as the others.

i'm very happy with my 11 pro but i did loose the motor right around 2000 miles. lost a CYLINDER skirt. took out the whole motor. had to chopper it out but my dealer had me up in running again within a week. would have been even faster if they didn't have to wait on the insurance adjuster to look at it. i think polaris has improved the 800 motors but there are still some potential issues. i was really hoping that the rumor of fuji building the 13 motors was true but unfortunately it sounds like they are just supply the cranks. with that said my failure will does not mean i am now worried about going into the back country or buying another one. plus with a fresh motor my sled is RIPPIN!

I've got an '11 SB Assault and a '12 Assault RMK. Both sleds have been awesome. I just wish I had more miles on the '12 (~250), but it has been spot on.

All brands have issues. I don't think Polaris is any worse than the others at this point with their new 800 motor.

I hate when people say "my friend" or " someone I know" cause half those stories probably aren't entirely true

Living in the land of the lost, eh? Thanks for the most entirely useless post on SnoWest. People generally say "friend" because the "friend" isn't a member of this or any other forum. The "friend" had an issue and they are using that example to get info to help them.

Some more hokey stuff for you to consider as fact would be........vaccinations are the governments way of controlling you, the bible is true, alien abductions, the "science" of Feng Shui etc etc etc.......
