How are the Gas Shock Repair Modded Fox Floats Working Out?

It sounds like a bunch of us sent our shocks to Andy Youngstrom at GSR (Gas Shock Repair) this past off season.

What do you guys think of the mod so far? Do you like it?

Do you think a set of Fett Brother's Canisters would make them even better?
 
I have both - GSR revalve with Fett bro's new bigger canisters. I think my floats are working real good, especially when you combine it with the powder pro spring mod :beer; I rode today in 4-5 inches of fresh snow over top a bunch of ice bumps. PLUSH meanwhile being supportive is how I like to describe it.
 
I have only ridden mine once so far. In deep heavy wet snow at Mt Adams a few weeks ago. I was impressed although keep in mind I have a standard M8 but I had him revalve my zero pros as well. Shred you must have rode up at Adams today? I see your from White Salmon. Is Monday your ride day? I have every Monday off.
 
Shred, what are you using for shock pressures?

Do you plan to raise or lower them?

What's your weight (not geared up)?
 
I had holz do mine front and rear and om real real real happy with the results. Alot better transfer and way more adjustable. Plush and stable.
 
I love what Andy did to my shocks. It's a totally different ride running down whopped up trails. I am still trying to figure out air pressure though. At 200lbs. I think I am at about 63 left, 60 right and 110 rear. Rides great, but what it will be like in the deep is still undetermined.

P.S. As far as the air canisters, I can see them as a trail rider, but in the powder can't see needing them. JMO

I love what Andy did to my shocks. It's a totally different ride running down whopped up trails. I am still trying to figure out air pressure though. At 200lbs. I think I am at about 63 left, 60 right and 110 rear. Rides great, but what it will be like in the deep is still undetermined.

I tend to disagree. It is apparent due to how low you need to run your air pressures to make a decent ride. The canisters work for all conditions as they allow for more air without the harshness in the inital part of the stroke. I weigh 165lbs dry (180 geared up). I'm currently running 73 left 70 rt and 130 rear and its working great. Two rides ago I used a little less pressure, which I might try splitting the difference. I like the support of the more air, meanwhile it is plush. I highly recommend Andy Youngstrom's work! Fast, and VERY reasonable in price.
 
sweet, I would highly recommend upping rear shock pressure to 140+ to any 200+lb rider, with a stock AC skid.

Dude, not to be calling you out here, but aren't you the same guy that went riding with major clutch issues and it was because you had not even set your deflection after reclutching?

Wow, I already posted that I was new to cat. I did adjust my belt deflection after I re-clutched it. Because I am having some clutching issues after I re-cluctched it, I guess you think that negates me from having a viable opinion on riding an M8? - with and without suspension modifications?
 
It ok guys, we are all learning here.

Frankly, I'm just a little bit worried about ripping a Fett Brother's canister off while boondocking. It would probably never happen but, they are certainly out there exposed for the smacking.

So, if I'm 170 without gear, what do you suggest for a shock pressures after Andy's shock rework?
