How about them Non-Boosted Nytro's?

this is the worst sled ive ever owned my 97 rmk700 will out run and climb it. thank god it blew a piston though the case and yammi gave me my money back

umm, think ya got lost there sparky, this isn't the Arctic Cat section, and we're not talking about your m1000.

I haven't boosted mine yet and I am thinking that I won't. If the clutching is right it has plenty of power as is. I replaced both the front and rear suspensions with Timbersled for a little more durability and a lot less weight and I'm really happy. Yeah there are a few things that the sled still needs (a better track and stronger boards for example) but there isn't a sled on the snow that doesn't need a little help from mods to be perfect. That's just a fact. Ride what you bought and have fun with it. Mods are part of that fun IMHO. Just my 2 cents.

"You can make some of the people happy some of the time, but you can't make all of the people happy all of the time".

rider, its too bad it did'nt work out for you. The Nytro suits me better that any other sled I have ever riddin. With or without boost.

Boost is for weenies. Who wants all that extra smooth hP on tap at the mere press of the thumb. Why my stock sled will go anywhere one of those fancy XPEE sleds will. It may not hold a candle to a 97 700 RMK but I am pretty darn happy with it. And my back up sled is an 03 700 RMK so I am quite familiar with em. I just wish that Ski-doo would ship out some cranks so my favorite riding buddy could get back on the snow. He has not even had the chance to try out the Nytro as he has been broke down almost all season. Guess that is probably a good thing as I hear they are getting into a bit of short supply, with all the new 4 stroke converts, he might have a hard time finding a new Nytro this late in the season. Me I think I am going to sell my back up sled to Rider and buy another Nytro so I can have a boosted back up sled for those special days when I am feeling not so fresh. I sure hope everyone has good snow this year. Ride safe and always remember to tip you waitperson well or he/she will do more than just spit in your drink next time!

yeah! what all these guys said except premix, He is full of it.

yeah your prolly right, he has unlimited budget and he still chooses to ride his xp!?

you.....i dont even know what to call you... peeps that are so died in the wool one brand are missing out! as much as i HATE ski dood the new xp is worth reading all your bull, and i do mean reading because the only prob ive had is the warmers and that was a $15 fix and 10 mins of my time, way less effort than even taking it in for warranty.

and if your wondering , yes im qualified to reply to this thread, i did have a nytro.... and i hated it. dont get me wrong there was some things i liked but even a turbo couldnt change my mind.

if you all cant accept that light weight rules than maybee you should start selling heavy weight seats and hoods and see how well that goes over??? ride one they are that good, and not because they are ski doo, just case they are LIGHT! if yam made a light weight sled id be all over it! beleive me i feal raped how ski doo treats their customers but....im not getting any skinnier so my sled better!:p

for some a boosted yam is tops, but where i ride you cant see through the trees, and i get stuck alot so.... ah whatever whose got a beer??

So why can't riders of another brand have owned Ski-Doo and hated them and traded for something else? You don't like the the Nytro, I don't like the Doo, who gives a chit, I'm not buying yours and you aren't buying mine.

If you don't like people bashing on Doo, get some tissue and wipe your eye's.

For me it has nothing to do with Doo, I will never buy another 2strk and I don't care who makes it or how light it is.

I probably wouldn't buy a Doo even if they did make a 4srk. All their sleds are throw away sleds, they may last a couple years but thats it. I know, you don't care cause you buy a new sled every year. I don't give a rats azz what you buy every year. Why? Because I don't buy a new one every year!

I had a light weight mod. What I found out with light weight is they fall apart
easier.

LMFAO................. poor guy!!!!

Different people like different sleds. I sold an new Doo to by a Nytro because it had the features I wanted. I don't care what features you cherish, I bought it because I wanted it. I am now going to buy another one to mod because I like it so much. The original poster wanted to know about non-turboed Nytros. He did not ask about XP's although some people, (me included) have poked fun at the XP, it was in passing and not related to the topic. Non-turboed Nytros are working very well for a large number of people and could work for the poster. Would an XP be a better option? Depends, ma-bee it has the features someone wants. You spend your money however you like, me I will buy pretty blue Yamahas with mine. And I don't care what people post about other sleds or even the ones I own, I will read, I will listen, and I will temper my decisions with with all the available information. But my personal experiences and first hand observations will play the largest factor in my choices and recommendations. But who knows, I could be a 9 year old girl who doesn't even own a sled and everything I type could be utter BS. The old computer rule still stands GIGO (Garbage in garbage out). The information age is great, we have so much to choose from and so little that is worth a Poo ( thinly veiled Polaris slam). I will go back to watching Hanna Montana now.

It's to bad this forum has become a bunch of babies!!! A guy askes a simple question and within 10 posts its a brand bashing session!!! Makes it hard to spend time on here giving an opinion when you know someone is going to get out a hammer...........

If you've been around here long enough you can tell all the guys that use to give out great info don't even reply anymore..........

I appreciate those of you that were "mature" enough to respond to my original post. I really want to add another sled to the stable in 2008 and the Yamaha 4-strokes just fit what I'm looking for. Weight bothers me none. If you don't know how to ride, the lightest sled in the world will become a tank to everyone else by the end of the day. And I love the longevity of the 4-stroke. Nice to know that when dropping $10,000+ on a sled, it will last longer than the montly payments. So for those of you who answered my question, thank you. To the rest, take a happy pill. I don't care what brand/model anyone rides, just have fun and enjoy the all-too short season we call snowmobiling!

i couldnt affort to boost mine yet so have been riding it with nitrus all year and even with out the nitrus the sled performs very well. One thing i didnt like was haveing the running boards so deep so i cut my tunnel down and it works alot better and the deep stuff now.. all n all u will not be dissapointed in the sled

Do you have any pictures of yours with the cut tunnel?

I have not had a problem with my track, except on the trails
I have not had a problem diving and darting, except on the trails
I have not had a problem with the rear suspention except on the trail
I have no problem with the bars or riser
I have no problem with no power, dealer put a clutch kit in it and I'll bet it
will give any stock 800 a run for it's money... if your into drag racing.

You so called boondockers ride to much trail... get a trail sled thats built
for that.

I've never had my Nytro dive in the corner in pow.
I've never had my sled bottom out in pow.
I don't have a problem with traction in the pow.

It is a chitty trail sled!

Very well said.

Two days of riding my new Nytro, all I have to say one word permagrin, or is that two words, what ever it rocks.... :D

2 stroke = old, dirty technology
4 stroke = fun factor x100

Go out and buy one....
