Well, in a time when we desperately need truck drivers, why is it financially so difficult to obtain a CDL?

This is from a local Vo Tech's site... "The total cost for Class A CDL Training is $5,500. Financial Aid is not available for this course."

This seems to be some very low hanging fruit ripe for picking?

I know exactly what your talking about. I have an Electrical Administrator license and I'm self employed non union . I'd go to a class and the last thing I can do is get into a conversion with the room that is basically union with engineer degrees they can't figure out hard studying works without an engineer degree. The only reason why I still have it is because there is a short supply but don't think for one minute Thier lobbyists aren't working on it. The unions pay for thier license and all the requirement , bonding insurance etc.etc., must be nice
