Hot Dogger Chefs: Need help

So... the trip out west begins next week. And right now, I'm in the process of putting some recipes together for the hot dogger.

So far, I've got the following recipes:

Hot Pockets.

Some questions I've got:

-I know it's an art, but how long should I cook them? At WFOT of course?
-Is aluminum foil necessary, or just an extravagance enjoyed only by the aristocrats on the hill?
-What is a good marinade for a hot pocket?
-If the sled takes a tumble, I want to know if my hot pocket is protected? Do they fly out?
-Related question: is it typically socially acceptable if they do fly out, to eat it anyway?
-what flavor schnapps goes best with a hot pocket?

Help is appreciated!

If you provide yourself with enough of question #6 you won't really give a rats azz about the first five.

Will post my $.5, that is about all that is worth. Can't comment on the hot pockets, not up to my tasting.

I prefer homemade burritos or bacon wrapped potatoes.

Burrito recipe
Whatever you want in it, wrapped in a tortilla shell, cooked and ready to eat at the moment. I prefer a breakfast style; egg, hashbrowns, bacon and cheese. Wrap in wax paper and then aluminum foil, wax paper prevents aluminum from leaking into the food.

Bacon wrapped potatoes

Get low fat bacon, if possible. Potatoes cut into bit size pieces, wrap a strip of bacon around potatoe, stick a toothpick through to hold together, cook at 375-400 for about 30 minutes or until done. Again cook until they are ready to eat at the time. Place aluminum foil and then a layer of wax paper, place the potatoes, remove the toothpick, in the wax paper and aluminum foil fold over the potatoes.

I will make a batch of both and put into the freezer. Night before put in the "cooker" on the snowmobile (machine is kept outside) and after about 2 hours of riding the hot food is ready. Beats a cold bolonga sandwich anyday.

damn... now I'm hungry... gotta go raid the fridge now...

But with the real food, you don't get the full effect of eating a hot pocket do you? I suppose you could pop a few laxatives right after eating...

Yeah, what ever happend to the day of a liquid lunch? Not that I ever would since I just goto work and church. :D

When making Hot Pockets, etc., foil will discolor them -- kind of a greenish-black. I don't think it hurts anything, but not too appetizing. A better alternative is Parchment paper, available in your grocery store near the aluminum foil.
