holy vibration

Hey guys. Put a new indydan tm1 in my sled not to long ago. I have 3 rides on it. New 06 mounts as well. No belt issues yet. After I first got it fired up I noticed the sled vibrated 3x worse than it ever has. I double checked all the bolts and they are staying tight. No large visible gaps between mounts when the motor sat in place. I have the clutch alignment tool on order. Is there anything I can do before I get the tool to try and make it better?

It looks like the motor wants to jump out of the sled almost. Something is up.

Thanks for the space.

Something definitely wrong. I have one of Dan's engines in one of my sleds and one of his clutches on my other sled and both have almost no vibration. I would call Dan on this right away.

His cranks are supposed to smooth out the engine vibration...sounds like something is Seriously wrong...dont run it?
Tell us what happens cause I'm thinking of send mine to him this summer

mine runs smoother than an 800

i did tm1s on both my 900s, and the vibration was about the same as before with the stock crank. do you have the torque stop to tight up to the block? if there is no gap in that, it will transfer all the vibration through the sled.

I'm pretty sure he would have but I'll ask anyway, Dan did set up and balance your new clutch right?
Edit: oops, sorry. I see that you got the TMI, no new clutch with that unless you get the updated Polaris crank kit like I am going to, Just trying to throw some ideas out there

I would have to do some research on that, I thought the TM1 used your stock crank and he just added a bearing. But if it does use the updated kit then he should have gotten a new clutch.

in order for dan to do a TM1 on your existing crank, he would have to press the existing front bearing off, do his extra bearing mod, and re-install all of it. and this is all based on weather your old crank is even still within spec.

fusion 900?

This IS the 900 forum:face-icon-small-ton

Just disregard this kids posts. Never comes up with anything useful. Just hateful posts towards anyone and everything. He got kicked out of the flatland forum (hardcoresledder) and for good reason. Has a very aweful utube channel also.

To the OP, hope you sent inyour clutch also to get balanced along with the tm1 upgrade. As the others said, should run smooth from indydan so something is definitely up. Hoping you get it all straightened out.

Tm1 came with the new crank kit and new clutch. Going to check the alignment tomorrow when the tool arrives. runs quite well though. We'll see

im willing to bet its the OEM torque stop on the clutch side engine brace is smashed againist the block and/or the SLP push arm is smashed againist the recoil housing on the exhaust side (if you have the SLP one)...

i have sent in 3 900 bottoms ends and used the STOCK crank (both 05 and 06) and had dan install TM1s in them. If your crank is within spec and you dont have any case issues he will just install a TM1 in your stock setup...for around $900 plus shipping..worth every dime!

I knew I wasn't crazy! haha just kidding. I thought I remembered reading somewhere about that, I just couldn't find it.

BigTree, have you found out what is causing your vibration. Very interested in finding out the cause. I am going to be taking my motor to indydan soon for the TM1 and would like to make sure if it is an installation error that I don't do it as well.
