Holy DEEP.....Gunna be good one :-)

Awesome pics SH / GP!

Today really sucked didn't it! :D We hit it early - about 8:30AM and it was TRULY EPIC! by noon it was getting stickier, but for 4/5 - who the He!! is complaining! What a day!

Rode with some great guys today, got my taste of a built and tuned Dragon (thinking I need one of those next year!) I've not been this tired from riding AND LMAO in a long time! climbed what we could, jumped all the windlips, stucks left and right - sleds doing tails stands and even backflips - a bit of carnage here and there, but WHAT A DAY!!!!

Not the best pics - but here are a few - I didn't take many - too busy riding April pow pow! EPIC DAY!!!

I see another trip to Utah next season! We had about 1.5 to 2' of fresh but it got heavy in the afternoon pretty quick.... My poor wife was not having fun, we took her to places she should have never been... deep.... steep.... trees.... and heavy snow! I ended up taking her to a lake that was never touched and let her go tear it all up by her self.... She came back with a huge smile on her face ;)

Paul, where did you guys ride. Looks like a lot of entertainment. LOL

Jeff, good to hear you got out. I would like to hear about your drivers freezing cuz that really sucked when it happened to me. You better be planning on another trip next year. Bet you two where loving the new hot tub after your ride.:D Jeanette's hands were so tired and weak after riding so hard, I had to clip her torn finger nail. Not enough strength to squeeze the clippers. LMAO:eek:

Sledhead - I'm surprised we didnt see each other yesterday because we were riding about the same area all day. We had a group of 7 with mostly Dragons and Cats.

You're right, the snow was epic all day! We climed Double hill for a while then dropped off into Mofit Basin and that's when the power went off the charts. I think that area had about a foot more than the rest of the area and it was pure powder even in the late afternoon. Constant face shots so bad you couldnt even see where you were heading. Totally incredible!

Came back to the trucks on fumes about 5pm totally beat but we half way considering staying over at Bear River Lodge and calling in sick today so we could hit the hills again today.

wild!!!

Friday we rode Epic pow. mid winter DEEP fluff. Saturday YOU did the same. Sunday started soft and deep but by noon the sun had started to work it's magic and cook the snow. All the same unreal for April. Hector's sled coughed and stopped way to soon in the day. He and T headed down while 5 of us went up. Staying off anthing steep as the snow got heavier. Also stay out from under anything too. Had a ball. ran outta gas and called it a day. Kyle has pictures and will send them to me when he gets home to FL tonight. My camera failed me. time to replace it. sorry, GP. no pics yet. It's 10 degrees here this am. the snow should be dried out again. I wish I could go.... again and again and again....

AVA: only saw a couple people all day. We rode 11:30 to 4:00 returning on fumes. All North facing slopes, north of Double were crazy deep and light.

Rock: Did you see Kyles XP that he harpooned on Sat.?
Sorry to hear about Hector. He's been having a tough time lately.
Glad the Floridians got to keep going and have a good time.:D

Looks like you guys had a great ride!
Thanks again for the invite and for the tempting pow pics from your deck:beer;
Would have liked to ride with you guys and hope too soon.
It worked out for us as we needed an early start to get back early.
We rode franklin up to steam mill, no tracks, 1.5 to 2 feet of pow!
The sun even came out from time to time.
M8chris had some bad luck, DD failed, but happened in a good spot only a few miles from the lot after riding up towards tony grove for a good 3-4 hours until we hit the fog.
We gased up, put chris on the spare sled and rode another 30 miles or so.
Wish I would have rode sunday... Snow is gonna be set up now.

Ron, I did look at Kyle's sled in the trailer. Spenser tipped it up so we got a good look. Tunnel for sure, may have gotten the bulk head too. The lucky part is that he didn't loose a foot!!!!! damn! wow. hello, back up sled!

Hope Hector is ok and can trace down his short on the M

Ron, not much to say except it sucks when they ice up! I was going along and then I heard a weird sound and felt a weird vibration???? I rolled my sled on it's side and sure enough they were iced up!!! All I did was pick up the back end while Fiona punched the throttle a bunch of times. The ice came flying out (LOOK OUT) then things seemed to go smooth again.... Poor design!!

RON -

Sounds like those nice North facing slopes in Moffit were sweet all day, huh? The top got sticky on us around noon/1PM. that said, the quality of snow had me with perma-grin all day! :)

Rode out of Nobletts - Mill Hollow/Tower area - though we never made it to Tower - had too much fun elsewhere!

Hey Blake, here are the lines coming out. We both had to take a different line so the deep snow would slow us down.

Another pic of the beautiful pines. GP happy to be at this point. Just completed a long downhill sled slide behind her to the left. Pioneered a new route from Gold Hill down to Whitney.
