Hit a tree and caught on video

Was going to carve across the ridge under the rockie peak, but when I got up there the snow was rock hard. Tried to point the sled back up hill, but the skis went up in the air at an angle, lost balance and down I went. I'm still learning, next time I'll check the snow conditions.

Boy caught it all on video.

At the 51 second mark you will clearly see I'm falling at a much higher rate of speed than the sled.

At the 53 second mark I deflect off a small tree, which I don't even remember hitting.

At 56 the Sled uses its tree brakes.

Was totally surprised the sled wasn't more hurt than it was. It still ran like a champ.

Tough Sled,Still worked great.
Kid blasting around on a lake, He hit 95 on the digital speedo, not bad for a 151 Mountain sled at 8000 feet. It held 8600 RPM so the clutches must still be aligned.

I just Googled "NMFH"

Still have no idea what that means. I'm assuming its bad. Being raised in a logging and mining town, I thought I knew all the 4 letter words.

Hmmm
So this site judges people buy the sleds they own and the gear they wear.

You not even worth getting band over. Not worth coming back.

I'll leave all you tuff talking masters of being cool and great out of my adventures from now on.

Is this your first day here???j/k:beer;
Most on here are only poking a little fun. There are a lot of old on going jokes on here and the nmfh is one of them. Things aren't too much of the "touchy feely" in here.

We all laugh at each other and ourselves on this 4M---I missed the part where you hit the tree:p The last tree I hit cost me six bills and I considered myself lucky:) Where do you ride?

I have a nmfh for riding around here when its like -30 with a heated shield:D But i also own 2 sno x helmets. How come you didnt show the guy jumping at the end of the second video? My laptop died right when you showed ur face on the camera and i went through all the trouble of plugging it in and turning it back on just to see the guy driving away. Whats the deal there:p

weak sauce, you get red:cool:

Sorry, My bad...

As New member, didn't realize the crappy helmet was a jinx.

I really don't like the helmet, but its what I have to wear when the boy wants to run with the helmet cam.

Just in a bad mood over the wife, P i ssing and Moaning over all the money it takes to ride and fix things constantly because of our riding style and the places we go. Then I watch a video of a guy calling someone with a NFMH an effing geek like we have no right to be on a sled. As if it was the general consensus on the site.

I don't mind be called, Fat, Stupid, Wimpy, Crazy, Insane, etc...

But when its soming like a "Freeky Lame Sledder" comes across, then thems fighting words.

Thats lost lakes!!!!

Could have been, first time in the area. There was more snow at 8000 than was at 9000+. I think the harsh winds blow the snow off the peaks and the lower elevations keeps enough shade for the snow so far this year.

In the picture, I think we are facing towards Blue Lakes and behind us might of been Lost Lakes.
