Man that brings back some memories! Similar story:

Wife "I think you like all those VIRTUAL(this woman could twist a word around a turd like no other) friends more than me!!"

Me "Virtual? You mean the guys that I trust with my life and they trust me with theirs everytime we enter the back country? THOSE "virtual" friends?"

Long story short, I'm divorced but still hanging with my all my "virtual" friends. I wonder if she blames my virtual friends for the divorce? Cause she'd be right and I'd be forever grateful!! LMAO!

Tell us what you really think of her, Alna? ;)

Wow, talk about memory lane, there has been some halarious stuff, good time bashing, romances, ego battles and all out fights on here. But I think the thing that keeps people coming back is the friends that you meet on this forum. I have meet and stayed in contact with at least a hundred people over the years. Have been invited to stay, ride, eat and party with peope I have never even seen before.

I remember about 4 or 5 years ago I told some friends and my mom that Karen and I we're going down to Utah to go riding and stay with a friend. My mom goes, who is this guy, oh just some guy we meet on the internet. She says you can't do that you might get mugged. We spent 3 nights at the Sunridge estates, what a great time and top notch hospitality. Afer riding I'm not sure if I have ever laughed so hard in my life. Great company, Kim and the Utah crowd.

But it like that with everyone you meet. Good friends, good company and memories you will never forget.

Scott thanks for starting this thread this is what Snowest is truely all about.........

Cheers all, have a safe winter...............

That reminds me.......my MIL bought a sled for my FIL a few years back (dealer was 600 miles from us). I got on here, and asked if anyone was coming our direction. Powder Head and Soccerd6 were. Never met them in *real* life before, but they picked the sled up, and we met them in Missoula, Montana to get the sled and bring it home. :face-icon-small-hap

Pretty good when you can trust someone like that. :face-icon-small-coo When I first told peeps how the sled was getting here, they thought I was crazy. They figured these *internet people* would just run off with it and we'd never see it since it was already paid for.

Thanks again for that one!! :beer; :beer;

Crazy "virtual friends" stories! LMAO! Here's on of my favorites....

Scott and I planned a trip to meet in Idaho and ride a couple Springs ago. It was the ride where he snapped the pic of my ice crossing roost (bastage!)!! Scott and I had yet to meet, but had talked on the forum and phone a lot. I got crap from home for going AGAIN to ride with my "virtual friends!" Scott asked me if I could bring his buddy up, who was living in Salt Lake at the time. On our way up I got a call from my buddy Wade (wad). He asked me what I was up to?, and I told him I was on my way to Idaho to ride with Scott from the forum. He asked if I was alone...I said no! He then asked, who are you with? (Since Scott's buddy was sitting next to me, and I couldn't remember his name, I had to not let him know what we were talking about.) So...I said, I don't know! What's his name, he asked? I said, I don't know! LMAO! He replied....you are the biggest sled whore in this world! You will ride with anyone!

(Sorry Todd, Scott's buddy, but I honestly couldn't remember, and I had just met you a couple hours before!)

And Todd's not even a snowmobiler...but I've taken him out dozens of times on my wife's sleds...and ALL the damage to them has been from HIM. LOL
Back to my pic WAY back on page 2 or something was Todd in the 'Jungle in Idaho" or whatever with the 600RMK upside down. HAHAHA. Same ride as Sunridge is talking about.

I was sidehilling....watching him go down! It was like animated slow motion! All that kept going through my head was, "No! No! No! NOT down there!" Then smack!!! LMAO!!!

Whatever his name is! ;)

.... I laughed at this HARD. That year for New Years I rode out with Chubby and Indy Dan on this trip and had a BLAST. The time just flew by with all the stories Chubby and Dan had.

PS. Chubby - thanks for the first invite to join some "virtual friends" on a ride in Cooke.

hobbes... you did turn out to be some kind of dork, oh well, i still love ya (not that homo love you are looking forward to, just that kinda brotherly love... we are related and all)
