Not in any of the above posts. Here is the photo with Whistling Jacks. On the close up Cliffdell and Whistling Jacks is right of center of the photo between the river and the highway. Back in 1954 Whistle Jack was just a service station and small cafe that also sold fishing tackle. Notice the bridge across the river on the next bend down stream from Cliffdell. I think some of the old wood piling and cable are still there.Whistling jacks
Someone from Yakima should know this area.

Is wally klingle in that pic?I'll do one more. There was a lookout in this one that blew over in 1971.
Yakima people should get this.
Here is a pic of what is at the west end of the meadow.I thought this one would be easy. More hints Nothing In Life Is Free, by Della Gould Emmons, 1953. Focus on the large meadow. Its probably the only feature that is identifiable from an aerial view today.
Yes it is Government meadows. last time I was there was in a Jeep 42 years ago. Thats a new cabin. Here is a pic of what is at the west end of the meadow.
I thought it was called government Meadows.? Not sure though.

Gallagher! This is a popular snowmobiling area and if you are a jeeper, especially from Yakima, you will have been all over it in a jeep too.
Correct. Wally is not in the photo
South Fork of the Tieton, Blue Slide, The black spot in center of the third photo is the same shadow of the rock in your photo. Its not clear enough to see the garage in the timber that is now the warming Hut.
Manastash ridge along the bottom of pic.One more. The photo of the hunter camp was tanken in 1982 is in a meadow in the aerial photo and is still standing today.
