I like my skis just skimming the snow climbing moderate hills.(steep gonna have no skimming). Gonna want to hit the bottom with as much speed possible without pancaking as this will cause back shifting way to soon and put you out of control. I also like to high side my sled as i turn-out as I feel this gives me more control and options as to keep my sled under contol. Gonna have to hop in a track to get up very far in deep snow with a 600 but as soon as spring comes you will climb very high. Also parallel the track hoping in and out as needed.
Gotta turn shorter tracks out much sooner than the longer ones as your snow disappears much sooner. Try not to wheelie as your speed will slow and when it comes back down will eat speed right up (ie. bumps and crossing holes). Smooth controlled climbing will get you up higher.
