Highmark action

Here are some recent highmarks I did in Juneau Alaska. Trail officially closed this past week even though we still have plenty of snow.

Forgot how to enlarge the pics, so until then, here are thumbnails.

Not to be a killjoy, but in your first post, even tho impressive, those are some very risky climbs (late season -fracture lines - wind loaded - near vertical).

Hope you ride with a horseshoe stuck in your back pocket, Be safe & best wishes.

Live to ride, Ride to live. I try my best to read conditions before I attempt certain climbs. Granted, a slope may bust at anytime, I will not give it a try if I think chances of it breaking are high.

Coming back down is not one of my favorite things, however as many know, sometimes you just dont have a choice.

Here is a nice sidehill we have to do in order to get to some of these areas, What many dont realize, it what is below if you lose your edge. Certainly disaster. Not as bad as it looks.

And another of an earlier pull.

You echoed my thoughts Slim. On some of those pulls there is no runout, if the hill lets go the avy will carry you right into the trees. Be safe Sharky, good luck man and thanks for the pics.
