Highest Possible HP Phazer

I have one with a 14 7/8" track in it, 153, Nytro skid, 41" wide stance. its my 13 year olds but man its fun to ride. No headshim so I run it around 10-12 lbs on pump. The guy I got it off ran it to 16 on C12 and it killed all the hot rod 2 strokes in his area. Really been thinking of a full Chasis with as much lightwieght stuff as possible.
in 2007 at the Big Iron this was the Phazer beating on the mod 800's:face-icon-small-win

Happy boosting guys

I've only ridden a stocker a few times and I think anything is possible but I'm not sure I could justify it. If the Phazer was super light out of the box then maybe I could see it, but the weight is close enough to the Nytro which has 140 hp with a warranty that I look at the Phazer and see "Money Pit". I know a guy who is trying to sell one with an MCX kit on it and he can't give it away in fact he says it'd be easier to sell non-turboed, so maybe if a guy could buy one already done up it might work but to build one from scratch the economics aren't there IMO.

Couple years ago, Mark Wolfe ran a phazer at 24lbs. He said when it ran it was unreal. BUT, when that rod went , It really went. If I can remember, the rod broke and cut the case in half. Perty impressive.

I put a super charger on mine and love it. it is still under powered compared to my Tnytro but it is a blast to ride when i go with the guys with stocker 2 strokes.

If you could figure out how to stick the nytro engine in one then you would have something. I have been toying with is idea and if i had a spare nytro engine laying around I would go for it.

My thought would be buy a nytro and put a simple mcx 180 kit on it. It would cost way less in the end and be gas and go........I just dont like the phazer in any shape or form. Maybe for kids and trail riding but that is just me. Would be cool to see a 200 hp phazer but why?

NM's fuel system might be something that would help dial in the Phazer. Might be able to push close to 200 hp with the extra injectors? The guys at Quantum have a cool looking one with a CR tunnel and a Synergy midmount turbo kit. Not sure if they ever found a fuel controller that worked or not?

Yup, still have it but Jeff built a new rear mount kit for it over the summer, still have the RB3 on it for now... we'll see how it works. Actually talked to NM about his fuel system but then decided I didn't need to spend any MORE money on this at the time. I still think they have a place in the market and would be fun to ride with the proper kit/set-up...I'll keep ya posted:face-icon-small-win

I have a MPI boosted phazer, it is never gonna beat a boosted nitro, but I have alot of fun messing with my friends on their 800xp's. It isn't the best hillclimber but it is a boondocking machine.

why? i personally i find the chassis is amazing and for me i found it to way more nimble than any nytro, doo or cat that i have rode. i had one for 2 years and loved it except for the fact that it did not have the power to take me where i wanted to go. but it was a killer sled in the trees. so make it 200hp and 15 wide track (it has been done) = killer sled

put the cat 4 stroke motor in it isnt it a 2 cylinder engine that is boost ready i'm sure with some fab work it can be done

yeah, that i swhat im looking for. i am in northern NY state, and we dont have alot of large hills, or any true mountains around here at all for that matter. i would like to build a small size, large HP sled that i can throw around between trees and blast up a small hill or two when needed. i have an apex, rx-1, and sxvenom for trail sleds. i want something that i can have fun on, that will sound good, and will embarrass the larger cc 2 and 4 stroke sleds when in the trees and deep POW

Yes the Phazer is a fun sled with boost. We are playing around with one, will be testing and tuning soon. Just a sideline project, but if the interest was good enough, we might be into producing a kit for them. It is a rear mount with in tunnel intercooler. The fuel system we are trying right now is the RB3, we will see how it works. Also I have been looking at the chassy and with a new tunnel and a couple mods, I think you could fit a much wider track in them. when you think of it, the veture lite model had a 15 wide and the venture MP model had a 16 wide. so it can be done. might cost a little though!

I put a turbo on my wifes phazer and it is really fun to ride in meadows and areas my t nytro is not very fun to ride. The chassis is way more nimble, it feels way lighter than the nytro. The only holdback is the stock track I still have on it, I want to put my old 162x16x2.5 track on it and cut it down to 14.5 inchs, the wife does not want to ride around a 162 though, I think it would be perfect. You can pick up used MCX kits for very cheap if you look around, that is what I did. I thought about building another one for myself, I really like phazer chassis.

Why wouldnt you just do a pump gas Pro rmk? Be lighter, more reliable, have more power, and probably be half the price. Depends how brand loyal you are I guess.

Really? Half the price, A new rmk is at least 10 grand , turbo kit at least 4 to 5 grand, I have found used phazer with a couple hundred miles for 3500, used mcx turbo kit, I have seen a few now for under 2 grand, so how is this cheaper, even if you a bought a new phazer and turbo kit, it would still be cheaper. Now I am not even going to talk about reliablity, you cant serioulsy compare the polaris 800 motor to a yamaha and talk about reliablity can you?

Or the polaris fst 750, they'll do 175hp on pump with a reflash and over 200 on pump with turbo/intercooler upgrades

i am only interested in 4 stroke when going with a boosted sled. the reliability alone is enough reason for me. i want a sled with the narrow track like that, for the nimble and flickable aspect. if someone made an aftermarket tunnel, and a billet block and crank, i would be the first on the buy list for all 3. im really into the look of the phazer as well, even though i know ill catch some haters for that comment

could a guy over bore the cylinders and go with a cast sleeve for more cc's then boost and spray? maybe a little head work hot cams if they make them? your taking out the reliability but sounds like hartle doesnt care about that. just HHHHPPPP's!!!!!

i do care about the reliability, thats why i want the little 4 stroke, over a lighter 2 stroke sled.

there are companies that do over-bores for the 250f's, i think to around 300cc's, but that really isn't gonna help the strength of the bottom end, plus the bike pistons with be too high compression...

but your not going to get 200 or more out of a phazer with out it being on the ragged edge. what about a nytro motor in a phazer chassis? or something crazy like that?
