Higher than average temps after bleeding coolant.

I recently did a motor pull and reinstall to fix a leaking water pump seal

I thought I did good job of bleeding the system. I ran the sled for a while with the bottle open, also cracked the screw in the head. Seemed everything got bled good. So I went for a short burp. All was good

Yesterday I went for a 60 mile trip. Kept seeing temps in the 138-145 range

Stopped a few times and opened the cap, nothin seemed to change. No more air came out and the coolant levels never changed. So u would go do more miles and get the same results. The sled never ran these temps previously. Was always 125-127

What am I missing?

138-145 is nothing to get excited about. You can start getting excited when you start seeing 175+.

When bleeding, the sled needs to be nose high. Also, put the cap on and pull the sled on it's side, that helps get the air out as well.

Just put the nose of the sled up on a trailer ramp and start it up with cap off the reservior bottle, let it run until all the air comes out... It'll probably reach 140 degrees before you are done, but you'll have no more issues.... The higher you can get the front of the sled in the air, the better!!

just make sure when your bleeding to feel all the way around the sled in the cooling system. when it comes up to temp. feel for cold spots=air. As above best to get front end up.

Do you still use the stock thermostat? It needs to be aligned properly if you do.

Yes it's still the stock thermostat

I cleaned it well and installed according to the Manual. I guess the possibility that it could have turned exists
