high idle after stopping

Hello,

I start up my 2012 pro rmk 800 and it idles fine at 1600-1800rpm. I let it warm up to 100F and then take off on a ride. When I stop it idles at 3500rpm and stays there for about 20-30 seconds and then it finally idles down. What's the problem???? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

high idle issues on PRO

I had the same problem with mine. Mine would always seem to idle at 2200 - 2500 RPM and sometimes at the specified 1800 RPMs. When I was at 9000 feet or so and my sled was at 140 degrees or so I noticed that my RPMs would idle at 3500 RPMs and would take about 30 seconds before coming down to 2200-2500 RPMs. Of coarse it would not go into reverse when idling at 3500 RPMs. I figured that it either had a air leak or the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) was bad. I sprayed some ether around the throttle bodies and the exhaust and idle did not change so there was no idle leak so i figured it had to be the TPS or maybe an air sensor. I took it down to the shop and they verified that the TPS voltage was not holding steady. Mine is a snow check so it still has the warranty so it was replaced for $50 but if you don't have a warranty the TPS is about $170 and total with labor will be about $270.

Same issue. Crack the throttle and it goes away. Started happening after the stealership adjusted my TPMS.

I think I just found my culprit, there was oil leaking from the pto side crank seal. I had the dealership check the tps and that was just fine. Taking it into the dealership tomorrow to have it replaced under warranty.
