he's the ugly on the xp because there is no good

Love my 08 XP..best sled on the market, just the stock clutching SUCKS (08 and 09) Buy winter brews kits and ride it, I hear nothing but good things about his kit. I have mine setup (homeade basterized version:) ) and just spent 4 days of hard hard riding at 9500ft....clickered up for elevation and ran 8100 - 8200 all day long, no belt heat, belt this season has 350 miles plus last half of last season so ~ 550 miles and looks brand new. I won't mention what I was riding with to avoid a pizzing contest but I was not outclimbed in my group. I was a little in the air before this trip because prior I was riding with lesser sleds/riders so I was not sure how much better it ran than my mod, but now I am 100% happy and would buy another in a heartbeat. My brother is also snowchecking a 10 after riding with one:D

I even rode with some sled with Big Bore power (smaller billet BB 900cc range) that definatly had more power but the XP chassis is unbelievable in the steep and deep. It floats like no other sled I have ever seen...It amazed me a couple time on the stuff I pulled out of in the trees, after seeing how much troubles the other sleds were having.

just got back from west. put 80 miles on belt at home for break in. got out there and belt blew at 80 miles just boondocking no climbing. put new 377 on not broke in. it lasted 35 miles. so the last 2 days i ran a 166 with 1000 miles from my 04. ran the hell out of with no problem. but heres the deal i let the clutches cool down every 1/2 hour. it's deffinatly a heat problem. wheather there is some clutch issue i don't know yet. also my throttle stuck WFO yesterday morn. it does ride nice though. ski-doo dealer in west sucks big time too.

engrish?

and WTF does the thread title mean?

in english i would like to have my rev back. i have nothing good to say about the xp. i talked to my dealer and he said that some sleds are haveing arms sticking. and they just came out with a new alingment tool that is pricise and will be here in a couple of days.

After I clutched mine.... doo-in good on belts. But I have 3000-3500 miles and only went thru 4 belts. (2) 166 and (1) 377 before clutching. Only blew (1) 377 after.
Also, on the first 377 belt I blew, it ripped it clean in half, no frays or anything... Dealer thought it was beacause it was a "first" run belt....:face-icon-small-ton

you talking the TRA shift arms??? Ya they used some gunk from the factory and mine were sticking. Simply clean, service the clutch and that issue is gone. My alignment was dead on from factory and has never gone off.

i just unloaded it from the truck and it leaked antifreeze all over. coming from bottom of motor.

I don't think your skidoo likes you :)

This is my 7th summit and the best so far

But thats me and my opinion

Hope you have better luck

did it come from Brothers? if so... have you had luck there in the past? i don't have an opinion either way, have only had warranty recall work done there but they were super good about that. i think their sales group leaves something to be desired but it seems like that's the case everywhere these days.

hope you get the summit figured out. i love my 08, never had any problems but it was set up in Idaho.

no i have bought every thing from brothers except this one. got it in onamia. on doo talk there is about 30 other guys that are leaking antifreeze. sounds like a pretty common thing.

Try installing some vents, I got mine from JT sports. They are strong, look nice and run at a very fair price! Also try calling a more reputable dealer and purchasing a proper clutch set-up. I am on my second belt in two seasons on the XP, the first belt being a 166 and it was fine when the dealer asked me to take it off and exchange it for the 377. The 377 now has almost 900 miles on it and it looks brand new, no fraying or anything!

it's going in next week. hopfully they can figure out whats wrong. i will get a clutch kit and some vents before i go out west again

i ran the stock set up when i went out west last time held rpm the hole trip 8200 with 285lbs of me 25lbs of crap in my tunnel bag for 175 hard miles mostly in pow and hill climbing maybe 35 miles on trail all i have are 2 cool airvents and a spi can and my belt looks better than any of my belts of my 07rennegade from last year i only saw 300 miles out of a belt on that rev i love my xp i'll never go back to a rev

If your going to West again just drop over the hill into Island Park and I have a perfect 06 151 X model in my garage for you. It has about $2k of extras on it and is ready to rip. Just bring your title.
