Yep, and I have no problem paying for it, though, I don't think I will EVER buy a new vehicle. One thing is that people don't want to pay for the health care they are getting. Look at all the complaining about premiums. People use more expensive treatment, then the bills increase, and people complain.. I think there is a serious problem with the fact that most people in the health care industry don't know what things cost. I doubt most doctors know what things bill out as. Most patients have no clue either. Is that good? If this is a capitalist market, shouldn't we be avid participants instead of blind users?Yes it is advanced and I would it expect it to advance even more with each new discovery and advancements in treatment and technology, whatever that may be. Do you like the car or truck your driving today as opposed to the one you grew up in riding around in with your parents? Cars and trucks sure are more expensive these days tho'... or are people demanding better vehicles for driving?
Right now, the insurance companies are the ones drawing the lines first. Then people go bankrupt drawing the line in a different place.Better yet....how about if you make this decision for a mom and dad who's 5 year old was just diagnosed with leukemia and has a 50-50 chance of surviving another 5 years with treatment....let's go ahead and say...sorry folks, because of the cost of treatment and the odds your kid is gonna' die anyway....someday....the US Govt Health Panel guidelines say your child is not eligble for help or treatment.
Where do we draw the lines Ruffy...and who draw's them...you? Would you want to?
Though, this is just an example for terminal care. A lot of care doesn't require the new fancy MRI's and all that nonesense, just good old doctoring can do most of it. Yes, the high tech equipment / procedures does have its uses, but it seems it is used more often then it needs to be. People equate newer stuff = better care. Is that really so?
