Another thing to check, If there's to much slack in the throttle cable it could be throwing off the TPS setting.

No slack in the cable. Im thinking the ice build up may have been the culprit

Nope, no dash lights were flashing.

Nope, but Ive only taken the sled out 4 times this season

Mike, I am thinking ice in the throttle block too. It happens to me all the time when breaking trail in over the hood powder. Keep an eye on the throttle cable slack that can cause a lean condition. Also lube the throttle cable well. because the ice build up will get into the cable housing... had to replace cable twice on the dragon, seems like it needs it again.
