Its been forever since i've had issues with a sled motor install but this one has me stumped... its a 2018 that I just put a new motor in for my oldest son to use. anyway it fires but shuts off right away wont idle... seems like the computer is shutting the spark off once it fires. Any ideas would be great

I put the old injectors into the crate motor as well to see if its something with the flow numbers on them but that didnt help
its happened a bunch of times as i have went through all the connections and yes its the same ecu as original with the same injectors.
no it fires and shuts off does not idle for a second... so weird the plugs are dry but if you pull to much it will flood unless you unplug the fuel pump and pull a few times without fuel. if you pull the plugs it has spark
If you hadn't just installed the engine I would say you have a stator or timing sensor issue. Unless those were swapped from the old engine? I would still check those out with a meter just to eliminate a possible cause. If you replace injectors there is a trim code that needs to be added to the ECM but this would most likely be a no start. I would check the connections carefully at the TPS , AIS and the TMAP sensors all direct inputs to the ECM. Good luck
It’s like once the computer has done a full sweep of things after it “starts” it shuts itself down, either electronically or the fuel demand to the computer changes so much it can’t run at those parameters. So check all connections for sensors and throttle cable free play and kill switches or bad tether
you say when you grab the throttle it dies better double check the TSS (throttle safety switch) easy check just unplug it on the clutch side near pipe sensor or coolant res. bottle
