helmet lights

just looking for some feed back on what helmet lights to consider and what ones to stay away from . Im looking at the lead dog right now . Oh yeah and where i can get a good deal on one

Cyclops Of course

I might be a bit biased.. Cyclops Motorsports offers more helmetlight choices than any other manufacture..Our lights are all made from a rubber compound and have a lifetime warranty.. Our halogen system (it compares closest to the lead dog) is available in 50 watts, you would be hard pressed to break it..
We also offer several different HID models..
Our lights are absolutely the best in performance and durability..
But whatever you choose a helmet mounted light will preform better than ANY light mounted to a sled.. See where you look!!!
Heres a video from last year Hid at its best

you need a 12v battery to run the HID setup correct?

Correct,

I ran the 35 watt Cyclops version last year. It was fricken awesome, and so much better then running on just sled lights. As off road rider said, both the lead dog and the cyclops are so much better then the stock headlight, it is ridiculous. You really won't understand until you actually use one, then try riding with it off.

I got the HID setup to try this winter!

Thanks again off road rider!

I used my cyclops light for the first time last weekend. All I can say is wow! It is way brighter than my stock light. The only down fall is that it is heavier than I had hoped.

Cyclops... good stuff!!

I cant tell from the website but are they detachable from your helmet or do they always have to be on them? My sled helmet is sometimes my motocross helmet so i wouldn't want a big light on it on the dirtbike.

They attach with velcro... I use my motocross helmet too, well dirt bike helmet. Just attach it and go. It is best to cut the velcro so it is sized to the light perfectly, that way you can put it on in the same place repeatedly, once you find a good / accurate location, aiming wise.

I have fallen tons and tons of times with it, hit stuff... never once have I even thought it would fall off.

Love my old cyclops!!!! It is stator powered and attatches with velcro..... I decided to loosen up the purse and order the new HID with Battery pack so I can walk around without being tethered to the sled!!!!!!

Great photo of the sledding and helmet light!!! Sure is nice when the powder is coming up over the windshield and the stock hood light is burried under powder.... Rarely does the powder come up and over the helmet light!!!!!

He has another one with my retard nytro headlight configuration. It is dual purpose, shines light and completely fills up with snow... go yamaha...

thanks they look like there way better than a stock light . im running a nytro so i have a battery , which sounds like its a good thing . whats the best place to get a cyclops hid ?

Easy........

1-PM offroadrider 2-email him at darryl@cyclopsmotorsports.com 3- call him at 1-800-624-0278 or 253-520-3437. I talked to him at the snow show in puyallup, he actually rides dirtbikes and uses the products. I trust he knows what he is talking about, not just a salesman. I want to get one of these light setups, just waiting for the funds. I would reccomend the battery pack and the HID setup. No cords to hook you to the sled, and your light still works when you shut the motor off. just my .02-00's

Thanks Guys!!

I really appreciate our customers and friends showing Cyclops some support.
True Im a hard core rider that came up with our helmetmounted lights from a
personal need, I personally ride, test and develop our products...
Now if I could only get my teenage kids to do some work?????
Give me a call, Ill be glad to talk and figure out what system is best for you.

That light is no joke. So friggin bright. I wonder if you can get away with the light mounted on one side and a camera on the other. I'd think your head would get a little heavy?
