I ride dirtbikes alone often (I know I should be on the buddy system always but it just doesn't work out and I ride mine to work all summer) This instance messed with my head

I died smiling and doing what I love.

I'm the same way....I ride alone often because I'm a bit of a loner, but I'll NEVER stop riding.

I do find however, the older I get (52 now), the less I care about impressing anyone so I ride carefully and enjoy my own pace.

I carry my Delorme on my person in case I get pitched off, but I don't let it give me a false sense of security....just re-assurance that its there if need be.
