heavy sled deck

My steel deck is over 600 lbs. I have to keep it at my brothers house as he has an excavater to use for loading and unloading. Any of you guys ever built a gantry to make this job more convenient?

first off, the laws of physics prove leverage goes a long way... a membership to golds would be a close second though

I like the camper jack idea. We have had 4 guys lifting and managed to get it out but it would be nice to be able to do it myself. My 53 year old back wants me to save it for the hills.

The last sled deck I had was easy 600 lbs and my wife and I could load it fairly easy. Back up to the deck, lift the front and set on tailgate, back up a little more, go to back of deck, lift and slide in. Might be worse on a taller truck but mine was a 3/4 Chevy. Make sure you take the ramp out, no need to lift extra weight.
The Silver lake deck I have now can easily be loaded by one person, two is better but it can be done.
