Haydays traffic?

Haven't been to haydays since the new location, where you often waited in line for hours to get a parking spot a mile from the gate. Is the new location better as far as getting in and out?? Staying in Hugo Friday night so coming from the south Saturday morning. How long would you assume it to take from the north side of the cities to the site??
Thanks

This year is going to be backed up on the highway again. Instead of having a stageing area from what I read. They probably have some kind of plan I'm unaware of.

Hopefully the field has good drainage! According to the local news it rained like crazy up there most of the day and more coming tonight.... couple years ago they had to pull stuck campers and trailers in one at a time, major traffic back ups! Anyways, the new site is a million times more accommodating if dry for parking and getting through the gates guickly. Later

Hugo is about 45 min to a hr away from the new site. The first year was really bad for parking at the new site. All the years after that have been great for parking.

Parking has been awesome the last few years, drive right in at 7-8am sat. I'm worried this year cause it looks like its been wet.

I've been to the new site the last 3 years and imo the traffic congestion is a non issue. However the wetness may become one this year.

If you're coming from Hugo I would recommend taking hwy 8 to CR 9 to 95. Traffic is usually backed up on 95 from North Branch

Coming from Hugo take the Stacy exit and the backroads in. Best to avoid North Branch as the traffic in the town jams up at the lights.

Agreed. Stay off of hwy 95 if at all possible. If your going to get into a traffic problem it will be there. Check out the link below for the parking map to come in from the south:

Also your right about the rain. We got a ton of rain in the area on Wednesday and are getting some lighter rain today. Tomorrow looks dry and Saturday looks like the best Saturday weather for Haydays we have had in the years.

Thanks for the advice. Things drying up or is it going to be a little muddy?

Talked to a few people that have said it was sloppy this morning in the swap line, but that things are drying out nicely.

I heard the exact same thing. It's been breezy today so i think all should be OK for tomorrow. :face-icon-small-coo
