Sucks to pay, but it's the only somewhat reliable source for snow conditions. What are you gonna do.........

I'd let the numbers make the decision,pretty simple math IMO

The EVIDENCE is overwhelming..................NO AK MOD, we now have some guy who has likely never spent any time in ALASKA, here moderating the thread. The majority of the peeps no longer post here in the AK FORUM. WHY? Because of the BS the ADMINISTRATION of SW has pulled on the AK FORUM!!!!
CHRIS, you've burned this bridge, I'm still not LAUGHING!!! There was nothing FUNNY about what went down on this site a couple nights ago. I've been patient and have quietly waited(kept my mouth shut) for too long!!! Take your site and your MOD and PACK IT WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE!!!!!

what are you smokin dave, BCR active users was up around 960 today.
wahts even funnier is one of you super moderator super heros posted this same stat a week or so ago and SW active users was around 2600.

What i find interesting is all of these Refugees who came over when this site went pay. Now come browse after all the complaining they have done on BCR and see that they are paid premium members. Suckers Pay. Actually have lost some respect for a few of you
Well i keep looking at both sites and tend to follow the rest of the AK crew. If snow west SLOWS down on its over moderating and opens it's eyes up to the fact that we post the riding conditions and tech. Ah hell I guess im just becoming a rebel. Good riding every body and pray for snow
Ive been sticking it out over here and have no plans on leaving. That being said, I don't think I will be paying just yet, for several reasons. I can still read 75 posts, which is probably 80% or more of threads. I can still post and read in the AK forum where I frequent the most. I can still post and read in all other subforums as well. I have not experienced the overmoderation like others have, mostly because I don't start trouble. There is nothing wrong with not paying. What they have to offer (unless something changes) to free members is enough for me.

Why insult people who simply made a different decision than you did? I paid. So that makes me a sucker, and I've lost your respect. Interesting. I paid because I have only been a member of Snowest since December, the information here was excellent, and I didn't have a problem paying. I'm not one of the people who's been here 11 years contributing and building the forum. I'm a relatively new rider and think it's worth paying a couple of bucks for the info here.
I don't have a problem with anyone here who chooses not to pay, or with people who have chosen to find a different forum now that this one has gone paid. But this whole Us vs. Them thing where members that formerly all got along now are on "teams" and we're enemies now...that I don't get. I don't get why I get insulted just because I felt that as a new member it wouldn't hurt anything for me to contribute to a site that has such a wealth of information.
Seems to me like we're all riders, and some were willing to pay and some weren't. Why does it have to create animosity? It's not like the paid group is the ones that came up with the new policy.
Just my 2 cents.
