had my ski off to remove my belly agian so i thought i would cut my inside trackers like i wanted. hoping this will help pull the ski straight on hard pack so i can drive long distances with my hands in my pockets

put on a steering dampener and handwarmers and you wont have to play with your trackers and ride with your hands in your pockets! you coming down this weekend? snows comin down tonite and tomorrow
my new secondary spring dosent show till monday!

The Two Ski.. Hand's in your pocket. Next thing ya know your going to install plug in's to your helmet so you shield doesn't get fogged up, and plug in boot warmers, If your going that far we might as well install a big trunk in the back to hold all the chit like extra glove's and tow rope.

That nice red paint job didn't last long.. I was thinking about painting mine but not now.

Any advantage of mounting the trackers to the outside as opposed to the inside as my '05 manual shows?

Yes, mounted to the outside is a big improvement in icy conditions, which is why they were redesigned to be mounted that way.
The old ones could be modified and reversed, but why not just buy the newer version. Some people have mounted the old and new style together.

I made mine out of stainless steel,no more rust and always shiny,bling bling!

Now you need Scram600's adjustable setback to complete the handling package, world of diff. Have you ridden with a OEM style snowtracker to compare?

I didn't try the original ones cause mine came without any,but it rides so much better with those on.It tracks nice and straight on hard pack where i had the most trouble.
do you know if the original ones are just plain steel or high carbon or any kind of alloy.
the main reason i made them out of stainless is longer life and stronger
