Has anyone done the BDX tunnel conversion?

Hey guys, thinking about doing the BDX tunnel conversion kit on my King Cat. Thought I would see if any of you have done this and what your experience has been?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I did one on mine. The only problem I have had is the little angled pieces at the back are junk. One of mine broke so I swapped to the 09 edge rolls and supports.

If I were going to do it again I would just buy the Vanamburg kit.

I've installed a couple on the King Cats and M sleds. Honestly I think they're a nice piece. Looks and performs much better.

I like the kit and install was a breeze. Also with the thicker KK tunnel I haven't seen any signs of cracking. I just felt like the little supports could have fit better.

I did one on mine last year, it is nice, but my experience is the template to cut wasn't perfect, which left a small gap at the bottom of the tunnel and thebrace...well, it's starting to crack now.

Probably more my fault than anything. I'd prob go with the Vanamburg in the future if I were going to do it again.

But, I still like it.

Here is what I did, $5 in aluminum a used polaris bumper for $10 and a few hours of work. But I also have a fabcraft U cooler and a TIG welder for the edges..

I did my own for around $90
Use a xp rear bumper and 09 cat gussets $9 a piece. And if you dont have sno eliminators you can use 08 pr 09 cat rail edges. If not you will have to grind the gusset end down and make it fit the stock rail edge. Then a big of cutting and you are good to go. here is some pics during the process.

Thanks

Thanks for all of the input guys. Sounds like a couple of people have had problems with their tunnel starting to crack. Where does this generally happen - where exactly on the tunnel? Also, has anyone figured out a way to prevent the cracking?

BDX makes a brace kit that goes on the inside of the tunnel to prevent cracking. I had not considered it until now since I hadn't heard of any older tunnels cracking with the kit but I may give BDX a call now.
