Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo in America is just another reason to DRINK!!!! Thanks for the info PJ, but crime in America is every day event. As far as falling behind at work because of this day, wow, you smart, but as many will and as many wont agree, is that lazy PEOPLE in America are the reason mexicans and other ethnic groups get the jobs. Just one question for you Pj, How in the Fk does a person that can't speak english or even write it can manage to get a job over peeps that can? noone wants to do the dirty work now a days. Like land surveyers, What is that? Show up and say "Yep that is dirt" and get payed. I don't know and don't care. I got a job already and getting drunk!!!!!! On Siete De Mayo!!!!!!!!!:face-icon-small-hap:whoo::beer; FYI, Seventh of May:lips:

Went to Home Depot today, that place pisses me off. Looked at the window displays in spanish then go to check out and the damn machine for self check out is stuck in spanish. I understand why businesses want to cater to spanish speaking people, but it will only serve to weaken the country when more and more people aren't fluent in English.
Divide and conquer is the old addage.

Home Depot had a sign up last month at all the self-check out stations. The sign was a reminder to vote for your favorite cashier because they would be awarded a prize. Never figured out how to vote for myself??????

Did you vote for me? If I hang outside on the lot looking for day work does it mean I work there?:face-icon-small-con lmao! I should win!!:face-icon-small-hap Now where is my beer? I'm almost eady to rob a bank:face-icon-small-win

Deaf People...they don't want to be called "hearing impaired". I had a deaf buddy in college. He said "Don't have some stupid politically correct name for something that your scared of. I'm not hearing imparied. That was made up by some scared politically correct puzzy. Just call me DEAF." We always got along great too.[/QUOTE]

same thing on DVD movie's menu to set the Closed Caption on, my friend said she wasnt happy about the set "CC for the hearing imparied", it should be set "CC for the deaf people".

I learned all the Spanish I know by going to Lowe's and reading the signs. I'll have a beer on May 5. Oh, wait I already did!

LOL

Isn't your wife a Latina and therfore your son? If so would you not want them to be proud of their heritage and celebrate it?

Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of Latin heritage...it is observed almost exclusively in the United States.

Do not blame your ignorance on you High School teacher...step up and own your actions.

Not sure about your facts but if they are true I bet the same statistics apply to crime around other heritage celebrations...like St Pattys day.

Usually if you have to say your not being racist...well then....you know.:face-icon-small-win

It doesn't make the country weaker. You do know the United States is the only country that doesn't have two official languages? Actually we don't even have one official language.

Nothing wrong with speaking a lot of languages. I wish I could speak more than one.

LOL

LOL! Yep, she is half Hispanic and half Native American. And she could care less about May 5th and that is not from my influence. She wants our kids to be their own persons, simple as that. I want them to be proud of their heritage too but I'm pretty sure that if they went to school saying that they were proud to be white or something along those lines I would be getting a call and having to go meet a teacher. Yes, the statistics rise around all holidays but not as much as May 5th. I'm not too sure about your local area but I am positive about mine. My wife gets called in at all hours to do translations for lawyers, bondsmen, other deputies and State Patrol.

And no, not usually. ;) Not racist in any way, just opinionated and stubborn.

:yell: I feel that if you're going to live in our country at least learn to speak the language "Spanish" :hurt:
