COUGH COUGH! B*llSh*t!;) I know PLENTY of CAT owners that would disagree.

This poll is a hard one because all sleds go down at one time or another. I am a firm believer that no brand on the average is mechanically better than the other. Each sled maker will have their years for problems (2008-?? for Polaris) and years for success.

The most reliable sled that I have ever owned is my 1998 Summit 670. That sled is still going strong with the kid that bought it.

Seriously?!? There is no such thing as a dependable snowmobile! If you have one that is dependable you are not riding it hard enough! ;)

Overall, the most reliable sleds I've owned in 30 years of sledding has GOT to be the Yami's. That's not even the brand I ride now, but for reliability there is no comparison. "Yamaha Baby!!"

I am going to agree with both of you, and throw in the Yamaha 700 Moutain Max. Ride with a few of them in our pack and aside from the 50 pull first season start are very dependable.

forgot about the mt. max. for sure I'll put that one in there as well. All and all most of those sleds in that time frame where top notch. When all the brands where putting out truble free sleds.

Hands down most reliable sled I have ever owned is my turbo Nytro. 16psi, pump gas, 4900km and not a single prob. Im very excited to ride this machine for the 3rd season now (still feals new). Thats something I cannot say about any other sled I have owned.

2nd choice would be 97-98 summit. whoot whoot 670 rotary valve!! that motor with a good 720 kit would still be a big contender in these new chassis. not to mention the new tracks!!!

Oh man.... lets not forget the 780 and 809 rotax tripples!! Made into 925's they were an easy pull the rope and ride 200hp and a pretty lite motor for a triple. Id love to see a 925 with a 174 3" behind it! that combination would be kickin some *** even now Im thinkin!!

First look at my signature...Have you looked yet... Look now dang you!....ok good.

Now knowing what I ride I will say this: NOONE builds a more reliable and dependable sled than Yamaha PERIOD AT THIS TIME! Anyone who says otherwise needs to be taken to a mental institution for evaluation.

As for in the past, I think Triple Black summed it up pretty good. He just needs to add the Mtn Max.

Is there such a thing as a reliable AC??? Hmmm, wait yep there is...Those old Jag 340's(I think thats what they were) held together well.

Do these polls really mean anything. I think most people just vote for the sled they currently ride. I voted AC because that is what I have. If I had a doo or poo I would have voted for that particular brand.

ok seriously tho.... no M anything would win. and i own one. yammi is closer but...

1997 Indy 500 liquid.

need i say more. only poo i owned and to this day was the BEST running, reliable, sled i have ever owned. i had 2 of them. my dad had one too. never left us anywhere and just would NOT die. i was insanely mean to those sleds! lol. you ask anyone who owned one and i bet 95% of them would agree with me.

Dat true.

I agree with Yammie being dependable. Too bad you sacrifice weight, power, handling and comfort to get it. :D

Most reliable sled I ever owned was a GT Snowracer. Anything with a track and a motor is gonna have problems.

I have never ridden a mnt max what make them such a great sled I have always wondered about them?

They run forever. That is it. They don't handle for crap, they are heavy and gutless. Plus it costs 1000.00 for a halfway decent set of triple pipes for them.
