Handlebar risers, now won't idle

Hi all,

I just finished up putting on my 5-1/2" risers last night. I rerouted the wiring and brake line and put on a long throttle cable. It will start and run but only when giving it throttle. When I let off, it just dies. Just taking the slack off the throttle will make it idle.

Also, is there a set way on adjusting the cable that goes to the oiler?

Throttle free play needs to be adjusted. Loosen the locknuts on the cable at the carb end and adjust it so you have .010" to .030" of gap between the base of the throttle lever and the throttle block with throttle in idle position.

Oil pump cable adjustment is made at the oil pump end. With throttle in idle position the index mark on the pump lever must line up with the index mark on the pump body. Adjust using the adjuster on the cable.
