I have an 08 rev 600 adrinialine sdi.
I need my handle bars to be higher. does anyone know how hard this is? Am i going to have to extend the wiring or just slap it in there?

Hey Dude
if your riding an 08 you posted in the wrong thread, you need to be in the xp thread. The rev chassis is simple up to 2" then you need to start messing with cables.:cool:

lots of ppl forget that the 600 was a year behind moving up to the XP chassis. I just put 10" risers on my 800 with lots of room to spare. 2" for sure and 4" you would most likely have to reroute the break cable near your pullstart / oil reserve. Smitty at Dootalk makes some really nice risers :)

If you look at your stock riser, there's a tab near the bottom left side that stops it from going all the way forward. You can grind that down and it will allow you to move your bars forward which made them higher for me. My riser is almost striaght up and down.

I put a RSI 9" riser (additional 2") and ground the tab off. At 5'10" it is a nice height.

Oh, and to answer your question, no mods were necessary other than reangling controls

keep in mind the adrenalines have the different bars. you have to a riser block with that set up. they dont have the X style bars.
at least thats the way the 04/5/and 6's were.

Correct,
You will need some sort of adaptor to use the new fangled risers that are made these days. I used the powermadd FLAT to TEE post adaptor. I think it is about 2.5-3" tall, then installed some of my 9" risers with no cable extentions, sure makes the ride much nicer not having to bend over as much!!!

Thanks for all the info everyone.. :beer;
I bent off the tab and pushed my hadlebars forward like sugested. I plan on finaly getting to riding this weekend and i will see how i like it. If i need anymore height i will proably do the brp riser.

As mentioned, you won't need to extend the cables. You might have to reroute them to get some more distance.
And you will most likely need a pivot adaptor -- 20 dollar part from most placess
