Handle bar heater

I just changed a set on an 06 Freestyle. I used a straightned 1/2 or 9/16 long staple out of a tackmaster staple gun. I slid it in the back side of the pinblock on the side that you can see the crimped fitting side, looks kinda like an "m" on the wire side. Then push with a jewelers screwdriver the opposite way from inside the block.

Or just leave the block intact and clip the wires and solder, then heat shrink, that's what I do as the little pins Doo uses are hard to come by. If you still feel you need to pull the pins there is a little "how to" in the manul, is in mine anyway .

I ended up splicing and soldering these in also, I tried to remove the wire from the pins after I got them out but I could tell that was not going to happen, I don't know where to get new pins at, a dealer said there is no part# for them, It would be nice if DOO would include them with the grips. It is alot easier to do the soldering away from the sled so it was worth it to pull the pins from the blocks. Here are a couple of photos,
