Hand guards

What are you using and how are you mounting them? Give me some ideas. Lets see what you have. I would like to put a set of red and black ones on but I am not sure what will fit.
Thanks in advance

Polaris mounts and guards, they are off my Dragon and both mounts have been broke at least 2 times. I still need to adjust them.

polaris ones have been working great for me, keep the hands out of the wind and keep those pesky branches from whacking my fingers...

when my sled comes in i'm going to see if the old style doo ones work. they are a very flexable plastic mount that fits the rox style guards. i run them on all my sleds and have never broken one, they flex when you roll it over. they get **** on in every review because they vibrate and are not stiff enough but i swear by them. i also use the rox neoprene extensions. theese mounts were used on every tnt, x package sled since 03 i believe.

If you run the Polaris guards add washers to both sides of the bolt that holds guards to the mount this help prevent them from breaking the mounting hole.

Also, if you use the Poo handguards (or any other type that aren't fully supported) and use the Skins snowmobile covers, the handguards will loose the battle to the covers and bend down. :face-icon-small-con Bad A$$ covers, I really like 'em.
Had to change Momma's out to some acerbis, zero problems and her little fingers are still warm.

What are you doing on the computer? You're supposed to be putting a roof on your shop. LOL

i loosen mine and flip them down before i put on my cover, if you do this they won't bend. takes a few extra seconds but is worth the trouble!!!

Got any pics?

I run the Polaris Gaurds and Mounts and i always keep the gaurds a little loose so that When i roll the dont snap off.....but not loose enough to that where they move when i ride!

polaris guards, they work well, saved me from a broken hand once clippin a tree. And warmer on the trail.

Polaris gaurds here. I have the low chrome windshield, so I need all the protection I can get. I keep them slightly loose, but both of them have small cracks in the plastic from rolling the sled over. I wouldn't mind having more wind protection on those cold days, cuz I like to ride in the lightweight Klim gloves. I've thought about the Rox or Skinz, but I would like to see some before I buy them.

I have the Skinz guards and love them, they don't provide as much protection or look as nice as the plastic ones on a solid mount, but don't break. It's also nice that you can take them off in a few seconds if you don't need them.

Talked to Rox at haydays, they were clueless as to mounting on pro tapers. "Just mount them on the other side of the controls". "Aw, they'd be pointing up at a 60 degree angle". Surprised I was. With that said, fabbing up the Rox to work with the poo pro taper mounts looks very doable. They are not giving the Rox away, but great concept. FWIW.
