can this kit be put in place of a chaincase or do you have to start with the stock quickdrive?

I replaced the chain on my 12 Pro. Set up is just a little different as you have a limitation of the chaincase housing so you cannot go lower than the 2:25 I believe due to the size of the bottom gear. Also the rotor is on the outside instead of the inside. I love it....easy to install and works well.
