Gutting ctec2 airbox?

Has anyone actually split apart the stock airbox and tried gutting the baffles? Seems like it would be pretty restrictive from the picture I seen? Just trying for a stealth look without getting a different hood/cold air intake

I can tell you from experience that it greatly increases intake noise, and could not really tell performance enhancement

I just added 4 1.5" holes and covered with frogzkin when I added a pipe and tune to allow some extra air flow.

The stock airbox is a tuned device designed to resonate at a certain frequency and increase airflow at the power peak. So its not just an intake silencer - its a performance item.
Removing components may not get you anything good - unless you're looking for less power and more noise.
