GUNNAR KILLER tether???

Just curious if the guys having issues retained the stock kill switch?

I eliminated the kill switch when I installed mine. 15 rides on it so far this year and no issues.

I may get a Pingle anyway...they look cool!! :D :beer;

I elminated the stock kill switch from the circuit (hate hitting it accidentally :mad:), but it doesn't have any bearing on the tether operation anyway.

Add one more to the list, found the fried wiring this morning and it is / was wired correctly.
I didnt have any of the problems listed but my sled ran like crap after 2 hours into the first ride after adding the tether, I thought it was the fuel box so I sent it in to have it checked out. It didnt register boost until the rpms were in the 4600 range and if I chopped the throttle the sled sputtered and ran like crap until I stopped, turned the key off for a few seconds, turned the key back on letting the sled go through the cycle then starting it, sled ran great until I reached higher RPM's and chopped the throttle. Went through the same steps and the sled would run fine until I hit high RPM's and chopped the throttle. It acted like the TORS was bad but that has been crossed over.
I got to thinking about the whole process and nothing really made sense. After talking to MODSLDR he asked what I had changed recently and to go back from there, the only thing I did was add the tether and a new O2 sensor neither would seem to be the cause of the issue. I tear my sled apart this morning, low and behold I find the burned wiring exactly like the pictures posted. I unhooked the tether and loaded my sled onto my sled deck and it seemed to run fine but I noticed the box did not register boost loading the sled or after giving the sled fuel while holding the brake lever. With all of the weird things listed I would not be surprised if my fuel box went south again do to the short on the tether wiring. The sled ran great last year and early this season before adding the tether. Unfortuantly I didnt have time to take the sled for a spin but I will before the weekend.
By the way, seld is a 2007 APEX with stage 1 SC.
I'll post what I find out in a day or two.

Y

I found out about the gunnar on snowwest so I ordered it, before I had a chance to put it on, snow west tells me its no good, I sure hope the pingel I just ordered holds a better rep. Damned if ya do and damned if ya don't lol. Good thread guys, probly saved me a buch of grief.

Pingel

Haven't heard many bad things about the Pingel. Besides maybe icing up a bit. I don't really like the little clip, but I guess it's easy to find a new one.

Anyone have any horror stories about the Pingel?

Where is the best(cheapest) place to get one?
